Livvy only grins and shrugs. "I'll be honest, I'm mostly here for the adventure. Money's great and all, but it's not like I really need to buy a house or something. Unless there's something like, I don't know, ten sea monsters that are virtually unkillable or something, I don't really have anything to lose." She glances at the packages. "Besides, I'm kind of curious now. Especially since you're basically telling me not to go and that's like, the number one way to get someone even more interested in doing something."

After you've waited for some time with no sign of the lady returning, there's a flash of movement as the waiting figure checks whatever they'd been looking at the first time once again. Looking around impatiently and then shaking their head as if irritated, they storm off down the street away from you.
Fortunately, at that very moment the door to the post office swings open and the lady steps out, looking much more cheerful than before, just as the figure disappears into the shadows. She glances around, catching sight of you and hurrying over. "There you are! Did you catch wind of anything interesting while I was away?"

She glances around, catching sight of you and hurrying over. "There you are! Did you catch wind of anything interesting while I was away?"

"Well, most of it was useless chatter, but there were two people talking about something dangerous I think. Maybe an animal that needed catching or something? Anyway, one of the two were hurt and the other was really rude and basically just said 'Phoenix barkll heal that up fine. The problem is that you let it get away.' And then the person who was hurt said something about a charm not working and the place being cursed since last spring. I was going to go up to the person but I didnt want to leave the horse alone and then have you come back and chastise me for it. I think he ran down an alleyway and then he disappeared after that." She tried to remember everything about the conversation that she could. "Do you want to go after him or something? Did I fulfill my purpose?" With the second question, her eyes almost lit up.

[quote=2689033]

I wait until the others in this alley set up their shops, acting as if I am busy once again so I could take a glance at what they are selling before moving on to one of the more less-busy shops outside of the alley. I couldn't help but think about what is across the sea, land I hadn't discovered, lakes I haven't studied day in and day out. It was intimating to think about it, how the world is so large and how little I have seen.

(Bumping, unsure if you saw and its been a couple weeks ^^)

(Aah so sorry! I've been busier for a bit since school started again so I've been getting to everyone slowly :') Thanks for reminding me tho!)

The stall closest to you is run by two old women who nonetheless seem to be having no trouble setting up the poles and awnings of their stall and rapidly unloading the small cart they've brought with them as if they've been doing it all their lives. Around their stall, they're setting out painted figurines of varying sizes and materials, the largest a bronze dragon depicted mid-roar that's nearly half your height, and plenty more smaller wooden ones that are about the size of your hand--cats and herons and creatures you couldn't even have dreamed up. From this distance, it's easy for you to make out the plethora of intricate details painted and carved into each one, and there's a familiar tickling sensation in your nose that makes you suspect there may be even more to some of them than meets the eye.

Farther down the alley, you can see what looks like a blacksmith's stall. On display in the front appear to be weapons of great quality even to your untrained eye, and probably out of most buyers' budgets: swords with no doubt enchanted marks carved into the blade for strength or sharpness, arrows with tips that glint unusually in the dim light. Despite these impressive pieces, the stall is probably that of one of the smaller crafters in Hanne--aside from the few weapons on display, everything else is much plainer and mostly unremarkable: primarily just everyday tools and basic weapons such as knives and hatchets for the more common customer. It makes sense, though--the most renowned artisans are likely going to be selling straight out of their own shops, relying on their name and reputation to bring the customers to them. It's likely that even the cheapest of what they're selling there will be even greater quality than this stall's display works, at least judging by what you've seen and heard over the years.

Although the carvings were beautiful, I had no interest in whatever magic they are coated with. Sighing a little, I make my way down the alley, passing by the enchanted weapons. They were beautiful, but nothing there I could afford nor I needed. I kept going through the alley, hoping to reach the other side with minimal distraction, whether it be by objects or people.

(Ah it's no problem, I know the struggle! Sorry for the short response, my creative juices are not flowing as much today xD)

(No worries, take your time!)

By yourself, you travel much faster than the wagons, and before long you catch sight of the tail end of the line of traders through the trees for the first time. As you move closer, you realize that they appear to be stuck--from the looks of it, one of the wagons has gotten caught in the mud, stalling all the ones behind it. There's frantic jingling and the stomping of what can be assumed to be an impatient horse, mingling with the sound of shouts and struggles.

You're close enough to make out the shape of the several traders that have reluctantly left the covered safety of their wagons to try and fix the issue, but they don't seem to be succeeding, as the wagon remains stuck fast. Amidst the chaos, though, it seems unlikely that they'll notice you standing there.
