Victor stayed in her room with her, feeling horrible for hurting her. He tried not to dwell on it or too long but he knew he had done wrong to her.

Alaskas breathing is shallow and her face is pale from blood loss

Victor kept constant tabs on Alaska, making sure she was breathing and that her heart was beating. He had placed a small bag of chips on her bedside table, she would need to eat when she woke up.

Alaska coughed again, pulling herself back into consciousness. She put the heels of her palms to her eyes. Everything was so bright, even though there wasn't much to make it bright.

Victor looked to Alaska with happiness, relieved she was awake. " Too bright Darlin'? " He asked softly.

"Yeah, even though it's like, dark outside." She rubbed her eyes before squinting, trying to get her eyes used to the soft light

After watching Maria for a moment, Lani headed back to her room, smiling to herself
