Victor ran his thumb gently over her knuckles, trying to distract her from the pain she was feeling.

She continued to chew on her lip, at times peeling off skin with her teeth. She watched Lani work, but blood was already darkening the bandages

Victor looked increasingly worried, but did his best to stay calm knowing he shouldn't stress Alaska more. " I think the wound it just very deep, it will be alright. " He tried to sound calm, but he could not hide the tremble of his voice.

Alaska swallowed hard, nodding. "Yeah. It's nothing serious," she said, trying to convince herself. Lani went to go get more cloth. Alaska squeezed Victor's hand weakly

Victor smiled a little and held her hand slightly tighter, his grasp still a gentle hold as to not hurt her. " You're gonna be okay darlin' " He said softly, moving so she slightly leaned on him. He had a hunch she might pass out from this.

She nodded. Victor was right. She passed out before Lani could come back with the cloth. Lani swore under her breath and worked faster

Victor stayed still, just holding her gently praying she would be okay.

Lani tried not to look worried. She replaced the cloth already, as they were dark with blood

" We should get Maveric.. I am worried. What did the wound look like anyway? "

Lani didn't look up from her work. "It was round, like a bullet hole. We might have to extract the bullet, if there even is one."
