Maveric and Lani followed. Then Maveric said, "Wait." Lani and Maveric stopped and listened. Maveric heard something scraping, or rather, slapping, against the road. It sounded like the familiar sneakers against the road. Maveric confusedly looked at Lani and then Victor, not sure where it was coming from. He was pretty sure that zombies didn't wear sneakers, but he looked around and didn't see another human.

Alaska went up to the fire, and when she didn't hear anything, she walked around the fire. When she saw the little group, she just about jumped out of her skin. "Jeez, you scared the crap outta me." She laughed. "Man, you guys were quiet. Usually, other humans are super loud."

( Very tempted to come up with a plan to bring In tension oof )


He jumped a little hearing her voice, he was not expecting another person. Roger let out a small yap, wagging it's tail happily. Roger really liked people. Victor looked to the girl and nodded. " We don't want to get eaten just yet, now do we? " He said with a small, nervous laugh. He saw the girl had a weapon so he was on edge, but didn't show it. He had to be cautious now, even if he didn't exactly want to because he might accidently hurt someone without wanting to.

(I'm up for whatever)

Maveric just about had a heart attack, and Lani wasn't paying enough attention to get startled. Maveric nodded, agreeing with Victor. "Yeah, we aren't ready to die just yet." Lani flexed her hand, it was getting stiff. She wasn't sure if that was a good or a bad thing.

Alaska said, "Yeah, I don't blame you. By the way, your dog's cute."

That just about set Lani off, but she kept it together.

"So what are you guys doing out here? Aren't you supposed to be hiding out or something?" She asked, not trying to be rude, but it kinda came out that way

( What if Alaska and Vic went to the same school? But they were far from friends. )

He smiled a little " Yeah Roger sure is a cutie. " He said calmly before he heard her question. He thought for a moment " Well yeah we should be hiding but I am also not ready to starve and we are low on food, weapons, and first aid. Not to mention we need water.. "

(...Yes!)
"Good enough reason," she said. "Who're the newcomers?" She asked, nodding her head in the siblings' direction.

Maveric said, "My name is Maveric and this is Lani." Lani nodded in acknowledgment.

"Cool. My name's Alaska." Her friends used to call her Laskie, which she found extremely annoying. "And, if you guys let me tag along, no nicknames until I say so."

Lani was surprised at how good this girl was at being the boss, but then again, she never did get the chance to be the boss so she didn't have any experience with that.

Victor recognized the name from somewhere but he didn't know where exactly. He nodded " Got it, we are needing all the help we could get so you are welcome to come along. I would really hate to leave anyone alive behind to find out later they are dead or somethin'. Now we should we get going? Daylights a burin' "

She had seen this guy's face before, but she couldn't remember from where. She took the lead, heading farther into town, looking through windows into the stores. She had the bat resting on her shoulder.

Maveric followed her, spear in hand.

Lani was right behind, kind of feeling left out that she didn't have a weapon. She and Maveric were looking through windows, too.

Victor looked at the many shops around them, all of the windows broken and most all the stores cleared out. He sighed, knowing this would not be easy to find shelter or places to get food or weapons. He kept looking around as if looking for something but he never did find it. He saw countless bodies all over the place and wondered about how they had died. After awhile of looking at these bodies he spotted one with a beat of backpack. " I... We need it Vic no time for moral. " he told himself as he walked over to the body. He kicked it to see if it was a zombie and luckily it wasn't. He took the backpack off of it and looked inside. " A shirt... no weapons.. and two cans of chicken soup... Good enough for me. " He said removing the goods from the box and putting them inside the bag. before rejoining the group as if nothing happened. Roger walked beside him now.

-Alaska-
Alaska spotted a store that hadn't been raided yet. Before anyone said anything, she broke the window with her bat and climbed through. She called, "It's safe!" She started gathering as many cans as she could. She heard something growl and dropped all the cans, her bat in her hands. She swung and hit the zombie in the head before gathering a few cans of fruit before jumping out the window and yelling, "Time to go!"

-Maveric and Lani-
Maveric wasn't sure what to do until he heard the zombie. Lani shuddered, staring at it's hanging flesh and it's yellow bones as it lay on the floor. Surely the hit to the head wasn't enough to kill it...

Kiro sighed and looked around
"...hey...we never really introduced ourselves..."
He looked away from the zombie
