Grim Rose flew over to Mermydon. "So what is your name?" Grim Rose asked.

Mermydon was perplexed by Grim Roses sudden question. He thought for certain he spoke clearly enough for the others to hear. He knew nothing of ryori though so he tried something he felt was foolish if not outright silly seeing that these ethereal pets didn't appear to have a mouth or voice boxes at all, yet he could hear her clearly. He tried thinking his words and willing them to project to Grim Rose. ~I am called Mermydon, of Shaledon.~

"What is this strange Shaledon you speak of?" Grim rose asked floating around Mermydon.

~It's my... Was my home. Deep down beneath that waterfall over there.~ His muzzle pointed to the waterfall not a few hundred yards away to the west. He was not an expert thought speaker, so he was unable to conceal his emotions when he projected. Grim Rose could feel everything from him and who it was directed towards. His bitterness towards Heroine, his pity for Kanakwella, a budding interest in Aleria, an annoyance towards Grim herself, and an increasing indifference for the bulbori they only just met. But underneath it all was a deep sorrow for his own loss and insecurity to what his future might be.

Grim Rose laughed. "I find it strange you find pity for this Kanakwella whomever this may be." Grim Rose said. "Now if you don't like me you should have said." Grim rose landed on the shore and laid down.

Mermydon turned towards Heroine and automatically assumed his regal poise without thinking. "While I am curious to know why you think that about our royal guest, could you leave her alone for pity's sake? She's virtually lost her entire world and everyone she cares about overnight if what she says is true." No sooner had he gotten it off his chest, then he calmed back down and looked like plain Mermydon again. He smirked physically at Grim's comment, then he attempted one more thought projection. ~It's not easy to get to know someone that isn't exactly existing in the same plane of reality.~

Aleria stood listening to the two of them the moment that Kanakwella said he was royalty it was confirmed as well as him saying he was the prince of a lost kingdom. It was a lot to take in the fact that she had a connection even a small one with the very type of kelpari she usely avoided. She knew that there was no way that Mermydon was going to leave Kanakella. She knew he wasn't going to leave her either, she had o admit it was nice being in the company of her oun species. "So does this mean we are traveling to her old kingdom? Or are we going to have another unproductive day on the shallows of this land?" She knew that she was being rather rude, she should have cared but it didn't matter to her not now anyway.

"Well really I do have to eat and drink like the rest of you. I am living I just have more abilities than you." Grim Rose said.
