"Alright, I'll be right back." He got off her and went to his room, looking for the pills

Alaska stood there, looking at Maria's door. Her words kept ringing through her head...What if I don't want to be yours! What if I don't want to be yours? What if... Alaska swallowed hard, keeping tears at bay. How could she say that after she had been so excited to find out that she was her mom? And Victor wasn't...Victor was right...It had been her own fault...She went back into the kitchen where Victor was at. "Hey, um...I'm sorry for saying what I said...I understand now, but I need you to forgive me first, and I understand if you don't." She waited for his usual loving response. Victoria appeared behind him. "You hurt him badly, Alaska. Why would he forgive you?"

Rose changed back into her normal clothes, trying to stay as calm as possible.

Maria just stayed in her room crying, mad at both herself and Alaska for the outburst. Why couldn't Alaska understand? Why? The question swirled through the young girls mind without stop, she felt horrible about all of this. Victor didn't even give Alaska the privilege of seeing his face, he stayed looking at the dishes he was doing, all that could be heard was small cries here and there. He let her finish speaking, and he spoke with a voice so filled with pain, sorrow, and misery that it would break anyone whom heard it. His smile was fake, and very forced. " Oh and what? I am suppose to be okay now? You looked at me like I would hurt you let alone a Child, how could you? Do you know how much it hurts? " Finally he faced her, it was now clear that blood had been in his eyes as now his beautiful blue eyes shined, but bloody tears ran down his cheeks, " but it's okay, because I won't hurt you with my body. Although, I won't forgive you. I will forgive you when I feel you are sorry, because clearly you don't care if you hurt someone else. " He said with a vicious snarl, walking past her.

Maveric took a couple minutes to find them, but eventually, he did. He returned, the pills in one hand

"Wha-?" That wasn't the Victor that she had known and loved. She stared at Victoria and said in a harsh whisper, "You changed him." Victoria shook her head. "No, Alaska. I haven't. You changed him. You hurt him in such a way, so badly, that he changed." Her voice rose. "Why would you do that to him? To anyone? Why would you just assume that he would hurt you or your child?" Victoria spat. It was obvious that she was mad, madder than she had ever been. "He told you that he did that, but you said that you didn't care! You said you didn't care and then you turned your back on him when he needed you the most!" She glared at her. Her voice turned low. "You know what? That's fine. He has me now, and at least he can rely on me. I'm not going to turn my back on him the first chance I get. I'm so, so, disappointed." Victoria gave her the lecture before going after Victor. Alaska just stood there, rooted to her spot. She would have felt mad, but she couldn't. Not when her twin just pulled the disappointment card on her. That was usually reserved for parents, and it hurt Alaska a lot because Victoria had always been the caring one, and now she was disappointed in her. She went to her room, hugging herself the whole time. She shut the door quietly, not bothering to lock the door. She went and sat on her bed, putting her head in her hands

Rose was just thinking, until she had heard Maveric. She looked up at him and smiled a little, but had nothing to say.

Victor went to his office and sat at the desk, his arm propping up his head as he just looked down on the wooden desk. He was mad, ragingly mad at Alaska. How dare she just approach him like that after what she did? He knew she was the mother of his unborn child, the woman he loved, but really? Of all the dark and cruel things he had seen, that had to top it all. He cursed under his breath, but said nothing else just thinking, he would let her suffer till tomorrow, he didn't want to hurt her or the child.. but she had to learn this the hard way

Maveric offered a little smile, handing her the pills. He was silent, too, getting lost in his own thoughts.

Alaska stared at the floor, thoughts swirling around her head. Why would that have changed him? I was just...scared...surely he would have understood, right? She figured that she went unloved. Her daughter didn't want her, her boyfriend? didn't love her, her sister didn't love her...She exited the building, going for a walk. It had started to rain again, but it was silent rain, no thunder. Yet, anyway. The rain mixed with her tears and the sick voice of the freak came to her head. I told you nobody else would love you. I told you, and you didn't listen. Nobody loves you know. If you hadn't killed me, I might have been there for you, but no. Alaska yelled, "I don't need you!" She was yelling to the voice in her head.

Victoria knocked and opened the door to his office. She didn't say anything, just stood by the door

Rose hesitated, but decided if she did this fast it would be better. She took the pill without a second thought, and tried not to regret it.

Victor went to the door and opened it, smiling when he saw Victoria. " Hello, my dear. " He said sweetly, he was still the same man, but just angry at Alaska at the moment. He moved aside to let her come in, forgetting he kept a suit he had found in a closet in this room.

A kind looking sort of elderly women heard Alaska, and approached her captiously. " Dearie, them there zombies are gonna hear you. "

Maveric put a hand on her shoulder. He said hoarsely, "I'm proud of you." He smiled weakly at her

Victoria smiled. "Thanks." She stepped into the office, noticing the suit. "What's that for? Were you gonna dress up or something?"

Alaska jumped. She hadn't brought her bat. She figured today would be a good a day as any to die. "Zombies? Where?" She looked around. "And if I put you in danger, I'm sorry. I was just...venting." Technically that was the truth, so she wasn't lying.

Rose sighed " W-well.. it's better this way. " She said, trying not to cry.

Victor looked at the suit and nodded a little " Yeah, I was. It was my pa's.. went back to my home and got it. "

The elderly women pointed to a hoard, " It's alright, but it is rainin' cats and dogs out here, you might want to get out of the storm. " The women looked and sounded similar to Victor.

Maveric pulled Rose into a tight hug. "Hey now...It'll be okay, I promise."

"Oh, that's cool. Were you gonna put that suit on for a date with me?" Victoria asked, jokingly winking at him. She had no idea of what the real intention for that suit was

Alaska watched her carefully. "A-are you inviting me into your home? B-but I just basically put you in danger, and I can't really help you get out of it. I didn't bring my-" She cut herself off. This might be Victor's mom, she realized

Rose held him, crying softy into his shoulder.

Victor smirked but shrugged, " Maybe, who knows I sure don't " He said jokingly

The lady shrugged " That ain't ever stop no body, I am cruel not heartless. " She joked as she took Alaska's hand, leading her into a house that although damaged, had working heating and electricity.
