"I thought you were carrying me." She figured she wouldn't tell him that she could walk until later

" Well, I am glad it is you and only you that could get me to feel this way, I would never in a million years want anyone else. " Rose said, her arms becoming tighter around him as I afraid she would lose him at any moment. " I am so happy.. and so glad.. and now I only wish I didn't have such a big choice to make. " She said with a saddened smile.

Victor rolled his eyes but grinned, picking her up with his good arm and somehow was able to carry her like that. " You forgot I am missing an arm.. " He said kicking open his door and walking out.

Maveric's smirk faded. "Yeah, I forgot about that for a second. I'm just glad I have you. Don't forget that whatever you decide, I'll support you." He pulled her closer if that was possible. "I'm sorry you have to decide...If I was you, I'm not sure what I would do."

Victoria laughed and said, "Well, you seem to be managing. And just so you know, I can walk. I was just seeing if you would actually carry me."

" I just wish I didn't have to pick one or the other.. I feel either is unfair to both of us. I want to give you a child.. but that would mean I die, and if I choose to live our child would be gone. " Rose so scared of picking, it was tormenting her.


Victor sighed and let her down, a grin still on his face. " Well then, you didn't have to not be able to walk for me to carry you. "

"Well...if it helps, last time you said that you didn't want a motherless child," he said, trying to help her in some way or another

"Well you could have told me that you know," she said, sticking her tongue out at him

" True, that would be horrible.. not to mention right now isn't the best time for children. "

" Yeah yeah, whatever " Victor said with a small laugh, he went to cook a breakfast for everyone when Maria ran over to him and hugged him. Victor smiled happily and hugged her back. " Can I help in the kitchen Victor? " She asked excitedly. Victor nodded and handed her some bowls. " Can you put them on the table for me sweet 'eart? " Maria nodded and neatly set them up before returning. Victor then handed her 8 chocolate bars. " Set those up next to tha' bowls. " Maria went and did that before returning again and again hugging Victor. " Thank you for letting me help! "

"Yeah, true. I...um...I have the pills if you want them." Maveric watched her

Alaska came in and saw Maria hugging Victor, but his eyes were red. "Maria! What are you doing?" Her voice didn't have any reprimand to it, just worry. Alaska pulled Maria away from Victor when she saw his eyes were red. She picked her up, holding her close. She just glared at Victor, exiting the room

Rose thought for a moment and nodded " It will be better this way.. "

Victor looked stunned and hurt, and as he cried silently the blood washed from his eyes. Maria on the other hand was confused " What was that for?? Now you hurt him! " As they left Maria had seen his red-ish tears fall.

Maveric nodded. "Do you want them now? I can go get them. They're just in my room."

"He might hurt you! Did you see the man that looked like your real dad? He did that to him! I don't want you getting hurt, especially after I found out you're mine! I don't want to lose you. Again. I was hurt after I thought you had died, and it hurt like h-" she stopped herself. "It hurt like nothing else when I thought I lost you, and it hurt up until I found out you were still alive. I don't want to hurt like that again."

Rose sighed " yeah.. "

" I know he did that!! He told me! I didn't care, he hurt the bad guys not us! You have been mean to him and he still does nothing! " Maria shouted at Alaska with anger, " And if not for Victor, I would be dead! How could you hurt him like that! You guys all know him don't you? Why can't you see he is not bad because of that? And what if I don't want to be yours! " Maria stormed off to her room, closing and locking her door.
