She sang in the corner of the street,some little song about the moon learning to fly or something .A few people walking b dropped a coin or two into the small bowl she has in front of her.She smiled as they dropped it in,as if thanking them.She was wearing a thin blue sweater and some jeans,but barefoot as if it was easier without them.

"So what brings you down here?"

Aurlieus rounded the corner. His pace slowed when he saw a girl wearing jeans and a sweater.

Phoenix stood up, staring at the wall wasn't going to do her any good. Might as well do something. Anything to get her mind off... it.

Hearth leaned heavily against Lawrence, his eyes drooping slightly as he mourned. He couldn't believe he was gone, he had taken good care of all of them. Hearth looked up at Lawrence and sighed softly. He hadn't said a word to anyone but him since the news. He could see the wheels turning in his friend's head. "You're going to try and solve his murder, aren't you?"

Lawrence looked down suddenly, his thoughts interrupted by a voice. He remembered he had offered Hearth his shoulder to lean on, and cry if need be. He heaved a sigh, his blue eyes scanning across their home, their fellow street rats. He couldn't stay down here much longer or he'd explode. "I have to. I owe it to everyone. Don't you agree?"

She looked up at him and her song faded."Lie!" she said recognizing him."You heard what happened right?" she asked softly.

Phoenix headed outside, hoping to run into someone she knew.
