she said frantically as she backed her tail against the bars her ears flat to her head as she took up a defensive position ready to bolt if needed.

This is currently the early morning, the day the Queen is starting to send Sylesti on quests and missions for her.
General Frostedsoul rushes in, alerted by the yell. He was already on his way to get Vitani and Dugz, but was shocked to see the Morkko Lich as he let out another low, eerie, rumbling growl of agony. The General hurried over and unlocked the cage, wrapping his tail around Vitanis leg and dragging her through as the beast lumbered forward, raising a paw to swipe. He brought his paw down, taking the General with it. Frostedsoul latched his forearm onto one of the bars of cage, dragging it shut as the Lich tried to drag him further into the cage. The General looked at Vitani in a desperate plea.

Lock it. He said, as you notice the keys still in the lock. While you try to decide what to do, General Frostedsoul begs you to lock it. He cant get out. LOCK IT.

The longer you stand there, staring at the General, you see the Lich tearing him apart. Frostedsoul is now unable to keep his head off the ground as a pool of blackening blood flows from where the Lich is latched on. As his eyes start to dull, still focused on you, you know it wont be long until the Morkko comes bursting through the cage door, looking to mercilessly kill another creature. You.

Vitani what do you do?
1. Lock the cage
2. Protest
3. Try to run in the cage and save the General

The previous post explains why the guards are all on edge and why the Queen is too desperate to hide the fact that she needs help.

Vitani locks the cage her heart sinking as she watched the generals life fade from his now dim eyes, every fiber in her body wanted to save him, but she knew that she would be no match, and that she would likely die as well on her own. But in a fleeting effort she took the keys from the locked door and hurried through the castle in a panic to find someone anyone she could.

"Ok," Jack turns to leave before pausing and turning back, paw under his chin in thought.

"Say, you wouldn't have any fire-starting kits, would you? And maybe some lock picks as well, if you don't have any, any long slightly bendable metal wires should work as well.

"Hmmmm.... And either a hunting knife or a dagger or something similar, for self-defense, of course. And a water bag is a must as well.

"Say, is there a waterproof tarp in the supply bag you're providing us with? Some rope, tent spikes, and maybe a hammer to go along with it. Would a water proof extra insulated blanket also work? And the safest path, is it through a forest, or along the road? And how long will the trip take as well? How long will the food last? Is there a chance we'd run into any Lichs? And... Ah! Is that too much to ask?" Jack stops himself, having realized he'd been talking for a while and that Vekinor appeared to be leaving.


(He's basically trying to gear up for wilderness survival simulator :P I'm also assuming that some of the things he's listed are in the supplies being provided, but you can never be too safe, also as a heads up I would like to know exactly what's inside the bags eventually so I know what I have to work with and I don't have to keep wasting time/posts asking if this or that's in the bags/on me. Jack's pretty resourceful, so if there's a problem that needs to be solved and he doesn't have the right things, he'll probably try and make whatever he's missing or swap it out with a substitute. He tends to get... creative if things don't seem to be going well.)
