The cashier, whom you somewhat remember from having been here before, waves his hand at the paper dismissively. "Keep that one if you want, I don't remember who left it around. Is that all you're having for today? We have cereal, you know. We restocked yesterday."

(For some reason I'm determined to get Evan their cereal even though I have no clue what form cereal would exist in xD)
(Aaand you basically have infinite money since buying things isn't exactly a major factor and your money would keep resetting anyways xP)

"Yes please!" Even said excitedly "Crispy Crunch if possible". Even, still a bit confused about the paper, asks the cashier "would you mind if you also told me what the date is?"

You'd grabbed your keys on instinct while heading out the door, so there's fortunately no need to head back to your house. When you arrive, there's someone standing outside, furiously banging on the door to no avail. "Hellooooo? Is anyone in there?"
It's possi that this particular person is a customer waiting to pick up something, but you don't remember having seen them before. Then again, it's not like you memorized the faces of everyone who came through.

(Feel free to describe the interior of your shop, by the way xP)

I frown, looking at the person. I decide to slip in through the back door and answer the front to avoid any awkwardness.

"Er, it's hard to explain, but we're waiting out something a bit... hazardous," the librarian says awkwardly. "Just don't go in there for today, it's for your own safety. Is there anything else I can help you get, though, or would you rather browse?"

The cashier grabs some cereal off the shelf behind him and adds it to the counter. "It's the eleventh," he says, nodding at the date on the newspaper. "That'll be ten silvers total."

The history section is pretty much empty, aside from a helper who's shelving a couple of books. He looks up as you approach. "Need help with anything today?" He fortunately doesn't appear to recognize you.

"Yes do you have any books about the history that could explain anything weird that happen in the past?" Selena asked polity, "It will be research for a book that I might write," Selena add the last part to not seem suspicious on why she was asking.

You manage to circle around and enter through the back without the mysterious person noticing you. It's pretty dark inside, but you know the layout like the back of your hand, and you could probably make your way to the front door and give the person a heart attack by suddenly emerging from the darkness without too much trouble.
Then again, you could also turn on the lights.

"This means Evan is thinking to himself"

Evan takes out their wallet and grabs the coins. Just as they are about to hand the coins over they say "are you sure it is the eleventh?". "If really is the eleventh, then I wasn't dreaming and that actually happened. The earth fell apart? No, no, no, that can't happen, it's impossible! Right?" Even was getting to their head, they tried to shake off these thoughts. "The cashier hasn't responded yet, he is probably going to say 'oh, my mistake today is the 12th, that paper must be from one of yesterdays costumers'. Yeah, that's what's going to happen, just an honest mistake and I can just go about my day and have some cereal in the park." Evan looked back up at the cashier and hoping that it was just a mistake.

(also yes Evan does quite regularly eat dry cereal, straight from the box, in the local park while reading under a tree)

I decide to turn on the lights, blinking a little at the sudden brightness as I have become quite accustomed to the dark. I approach the door, debating whether or not it's a good idea to interact with the person.

"A book you might write? That's interesting-oh!" Well, now he recognizes you. "Well, I'm not sure if there's anything specifically about that, but the unsolved mysteries section is over there," he says, waving a hand at a section to the right of you.
