Maveric bit his lip so he didn't moan. "I'll have to say I love you more often then, huh?"

" I would like that a lot, if you said it more often. " Her voice was soft, but sweet.

Victor awoke first, his eyes scanning the room as if hoping to see Alaska. He sighed when he didn't see her, his heart ached all he wanted was her to be there for him but maybe he was being a burden to not only her but everyone. He was suppose to be out there protecting her. He held Roger close to his chest, trying his best to not think to much. Maybe she was just doing his work for him so he could relax? It had to be that.. it just had to be. She wouldn't leave him.... would she? The thought was painful, oh too painful for his fragile heart. He stroked the fur of his pet, trying to not let his sobs be heard. Why? he asked himself, Why did I have to get hurt?.
Maria happily ran around the building, energetic as always. She had nothing else to do, so she decided she should chase her shadow but she would never catch it.

Alaska was in the rundown apartment, pacing nonstop. She hadn't been able to sleep for the past few days and hadn't eaten anything yesterday because whenever she ate, it came right back up. The building reminded her of the cabin she had got stuck in so many years ago...poor Elizabeth...that was what she had named her baby girl, and when Elizabeth got sick, Alaska had been up all night making sure that her baby could go to sleep, walking around the cabin. And then one night, she had woke up, but everything was silent...too silent. That nasty freak was standing over Elizabeth's cradle thing made of wicker. Alaska had gone over to Liz, but her face was pale and her skin was cold when the day before, it had been burning up. Alaska wanted to cry but refused. She was stronger than this. She wouldn't let it get to her.
Lani was up before Victoria. Victoria came out rubbing her eyes and delusional. "What's the equations today, teacher?"

Victor soon was able to get himself to stand, although limping. He made his way to the kitchen and cooked everyone breakfast, eating something small himself. He had forgotten to wash away the tear stains on his cheeks, but he didn't really care. He had emotions, and he didn't care if the world knew it. " Breakfast is ready! " He called out as loud as he could, his voice was hoarse. He limped to the office he liked and started to plan todays trips... but he saw a barrel of a gun glinting. He opened a drawer and found a revolver with exactly one bullet in it.. he knew he should give it to Maveric to take it out exploring but instead he kept it a secret..

Lani and Victoria thanked Victor for breakfast.
Alaska continued to pace, biting her lip until it bled. She ran her hand through her hair over and over again, trying to screw up the courage to go outside. She had to eat something, anything, and she didn't care if it came right back up again. Her stomach was begging for food. "I'm sorry, just wait for a little longer," she said to her growling stomach. She had figured out that she was expecting the first day she came to the apartment but kept denying it. She finally managed to open the door and step out. The air outside hit her like a slap to the face. She kept taking it one step at a time, taking all of her belongings with her. She swallowed hard, forcing herself to go to the nearest store, even though she figured it had already been ransacked.

Victor ran his fingers through his unkempt locks, he was steadily growing a stubble that he had kept maintained the best he could. He was keeping himself mostly groomed not 5 days ago but since Alaska had let, he hadn't the will to. He soon had the mapping of the areas to scout ready, but as he finished an idea crossed his mind, an idea that really shouldn't be though. He would send everyone other then himself out... he wanted to be alone so no one could stop him. He went into the kitchen-dinning room area " Hey everyone I have the Scouting area maps ready.. "

The two looked up from their food. "Alright, we'll go tell Maveric and Rose," Victoria said. "Maveric!" Lani yelled. "Time to go!"
The feeling of actually going somewhere other than around the tiny apartment made her legs restless. She wanted to sprint, but Alaska was too worn out. She looked into all the nearby stores. When she couldn't find anything, she realized that she would have to go farther than her little safe area here. She just wanted to collapse. Maybe once she had enough strength, she could dig her own grave. Her thoughts were drifting to where they didn't usually, and there had been voices in her head ever since she had left. She would have reprimanded the voices, but it seemed like her brain was basically dead. She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. Her face was covered in dirt and blood, there wasn't a working shower in the apartment. She had got the blood on her face from the zombies that tried to break in at night. She stumbled forward, not realizing that her instincts were drawing her towards the police station.
