What would be a good breeding price for themed pets? I want people to use my themed pets for breeding, but I don't want the fee to be so low that a single pet has something like 100 babies within a month. What's a good middle price, I guess? Something that is low enough for people to want to pay for it but not so low to cause too much overbreeding.

Here's my themed stable, for reference, if that is of any help.

Check what others are paying. People will pay if its a not-too-common breeder and has genetic test done. (I oonce paid 20k for a pet with good traits so there you go)

Kinda hard to tell from advanced search. There's definitely a lot priced at 1g.

Do the pet(s) have good traits? Search for that.

As Orca mentioned, look at what traits you have and those that are already set up for breeding on advanced search. Females are typically priced higher than males (due to cool down), especially the fabled species since their cool down is longer.

The harder part is knowing what traits are considered more desirable. It can sometimes help to also search what is for sale.

You will find that it is very rare to make much of anything by having pets set up for breeding. It is more for just helping others with their projects.

Faeyla's advice is pretty sound.

I'd also recommend searching theme by theme. Going into AS, selecting a particular species+theme, and then searching for breeding fees. There are a lot of 1g breedings in general... but looking at some of the themes you have, I'm finding breeding fees for anywhere from 30g or 100g up to thousands of gold.

And definitely a big thing to keep in mind, I'll reiterate, is that females can have higher breeding fees than males.

If you go too high and don't get any breeding at all, you can always lower the price. And if you find yourself getting too many for one pet, you can always raise it. AS is a solid place to start, but everything is flexible. ^.^

I would breed my Winter Songbird Nyte with Melody for 5-10k, but alas my girl is still an adolescent.
