hello! I'm iaqo. I play FR mostly but was recommended this game over there and decided to try it out! I'm glad I did, I'm having fun so far. A little confused about the AP/egg/diamond currency but I'm sure I'll get it eventually.
I make a lot of art so I'm sure you'll be seeing art from me soon lol. If there are any discords or anything for this site I'd love to join one!

ETA: also if someone could tell me why my potions aren't in my inventory when I'm exploring that would be awesome lol, not sure if it's user error or not ;-;

To answer your questions, AP is used to unlock base styles in the Wardrobe, unlock design save slots in the Generator, and unlock party preset slots. The egg currency, which is known as scales, are a currency that you receive from correctly nurturing an eggling or hatchling. You can use these to buy items in the Scale Shop. Diamonds are bought with real money and they can be used to buy items from the Diamond Shop or purchase new stables.
As for the potions, you can only use elixirs in battle. To access them, you need to click the box with the red arrow, then click Use Item.
Some tips:
- Do not hoard random themes or pets. The reason is that you will run out of space and need to release them. I suggest you save up to buy pets that are worth your gold.
- Art fetches a lot of money in Sylestia, so be sure to set up an art shop in Artwork Trades.
- Browse the forums. You might find free pets/items or opportunities where you can earn a lot of gold.
- Participate in seasonal festivals. These are special events hosted during holidays or the beginning of each season. You can get a lot of gold from selling festival themes and items.

I have no idea about the potions, I've actually been wondering that myself for all the time I've been on here but I've always been to lazy to ask or find out, lol. Anyway - have a favourite species yet?

I figured it out! so some potions can't be used during battle but the ones you can use (like standard and lesser health elixirs) aren't under the bag icon.
* click the red arrow (it'll say manage party)
* click "use item" and then click the potion you want
* click "view party" and click the party member you want to use the potion on. it will auto close.
* pick your move in the battle and end your turn! the potion is used in that same turn :3
I hope that makes sense!
I'll let you know if I ever figure out how to use the net to catch anything lmao
