I have a couple of issues with how the trading system is set up. Once you send an item, that item is floating in somebody's trades until they accept it. That's always bothered me. I wish there was a way to better track where your items are going, which leads me to my suggestion!

1. Implementing a list of what outgoing trades you have

You send an item, it chills in somebody's trades until they either accept the trade or it expires after 30 days. If there was a tab or list of trades you have sent it would be extremely helpful in tracking what items you've sent, to who, with what CoD, and when. That way you could accurately contact people about un-accepted trades or the wrong CoD without having to remember each one. You would also be able to see if you sent an item to the wrong person which is always a concern to me.

2. A "cancel trade" button

If a list like that was implemented, it would also be very useful to have a "cancel trade" button or a way to forcibly return an item you have sent. This could be useful if you accidentally sent an item to an inactive player, if you sent the wrong item, wrong CoD, or if you wish to cancel a trade without having to contact the player and ask them to send it back, or if you don't want to wait for the trade to expire.

I think these would help make the trading system more seamless and help players who have a lot of outgoing trades know where their items are and which players still need to pay for items. :)

i think 1. is a good idea. 2. though could be used to scam someone. you send your item, you see theirs, before you accept the item you were trading for its gone. Trade was withdrawn and person now has both items. you have to contact krin to deal with it. Not saying it would happen alot but it would happen and would need krin to clean up the mess

I pretty much agree with what Kaitt said: support for #1, but #2 would be easily abused. Not that the current system can't also be abused, but just by you sending your part of the trade first and the other person not sending their item but saying that they *did* send it, but something must have happened. This scenario, again, would need Krin's intervention, but #2 wouldn't solve the issue, just shift it a bit.

What I'd like better is an actual trade system where you can list things for trade and what you want, and people can offer on those trades. If you accept someone's offer, the items in the trade listing and the offer are automatically sent to the correct parties at the same time. If you cancel the trade, you get your items back and so do the people offering. Same if you cancel your offer. The problem here, though, would be that you couldn't offer the same items on multiple trades at the same time. Or, if you could, there would be the problem of more than one person accepting. Still, if those kinds of roadblocks could be navigated, having a public and private trade system would be nice (I know I've seen these kinds of systems used in other pet games, for items and pets, but not sure what the back end coding would be like).

1 absolutely, lets you keep track of items sent, desperately needed sometimes one just has. a very bad memory.

2, consider alternative: a confirmation screen that's "sending X amount of Y items to Z player, is this correct? please double-check" (possibly also puts up a warning if the player hasn't been active for more than some amount of days? like "this player has not been active in more than 14 days" or something)
It would make the process slower, but might reduce the chance of mistaken sends?

another option, direct trading like "player X is setting up a trade of Item A to player Y for item B" (rather than both players sending things independently)? Might allow for something like player X can cancel the trade but only before player Y accepts, so player X can't cheat Y out of their item? The trade has to be made and accepted for items/gold to swap hands?

Noted ^^

Especially with the cancel trade button, what brought up this idea was sending items to people and the CoDs not being accepted for months, so it would be nice to just be able to take back the trade and cancel it manually without having to contact the player.

I like Scath's suggestion, about adding an extra confirmation notice when sending a trade in the first place. Confirming the action of making sure the item, CoD, and player are all input correctly may add an extra step but I think it would help resolve most user errors. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally sent an item without a CoD XD

I definitely support idea #1.
