Frost looks outside, it's another Dawn. She looks at her mother, Rising, also known as Rising Sun at Dawn. She attempts to leave, but Stoneteller stops her.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"Nothing." Frost said.
"Nothing?" Stoneteller asked. "Are you sure about that?"
"Uhmm..."
"Exactly." she said. "Stay in the cave. Your a cave-guard. Your brother, Cliff is an prey hunter. Not you."
"Why can't I do what I want?" Frost hissed.
"You don't know anything!" Stoneteller hissed back. "I know what's good for you!"
"And how?" Frost growled. "That dumb Endless Hunting thing?"
Stoneteller was shocked that Frost said that. "Fine." she said. She knew Frost would learn. At least, that's what she thought. But Frost knew that she never fit into the Tribe. She would never return.
Frost watches the sun go down. "It's beautiful." she whispered to herself. No cat was around her. Not even her brother. She knew hawks and falcons could see her, but she had a pure white pelt, perfect for hiding in the snow. She heard a rabbit! She quickly and quietly descended the mountain, and looked at the rabbit. She pounced, catching it! That was much better than hiding and waiting. she thought. She quickly ate her rabbit, licked her lips, and moved on.
Meanwhile, StarClan was watching the young cat. They knew she had the potential. The potential to create a Clan. The cats watch as Frost makes her journey, the journey that would reveal the Moonstone.
"Why would we trust a young Tribe cat to create a Clan?" a black tom asked.
"Nightstar." a freckled cat said. "She's young. She will adjust to Clan life."
"Specklestar," a dark ginger cat said. "How will she even create one?"
"She can, and will." a tortoiseshell and white she-cat said. "She must do this. For the forgotten cats."
"What forgotten cats?" a cream asked. "Who?"
"Brightwhisker, Rainspirit." the tortoiseshell and white she-cat started. "She must do this. Her brother must too. Those cats will starve, not knowing their lineage."
"I know." Rainspirit said. "Dapplespirit, please."
"Yes please." a light grey she-cat interrupted.
"Quietstream." Dapplespirit said. "This must be done. Rocks and snow will become the protectors of the stars."
Cliff wakes up from his long nap, and he realizes it's sunhigh. He quickly gets up, and asks his mother, "Where's Frost?" Rising, his mother (their mother) said, "She's gone."
Cliff looks shocked! He knew Frost hated being an to-be cave-guard, and he hated being a to-be prey hunter. "I'll look for her." he said.
"Not your not." Rising said, grabbing him by the scruff, just like if he was a kit. "I can't afford to lose 2 kits of mine."
Cliff looked at his mother. "Not my fault you raised runaway kits!"
Rising was pissed! How did Cliff talk to her like that! "What?" she growled. "I raise my kits well! Better then you ever will!"
"Oh yea!" Cliff growled back. "I'll run away, to find Frost! That will make you upset, won't it?"
That was the last thing Cliff said, before leaving the Tribe, and his mother, Rising.
Cliff walks around the mountains, searching for Frost. Meanwhile, Frost was searching for this 'Moonstone', which was told she must do in her dream.
Many moons later...
Frost decides to enter a big den, on a stormy night. When she enters she see's a familiar cat. A tom, that looks like her brother! "Cliff?" she asks.
The tom was shocked that his sister, who he has been looking for all this time, recognized him! "Frost?"
Frost and Cliff got to know each other moons, since, after all, they have been apart for many moons. Cliff became friends with these rouge cats, and Frost found the Moonstone.
"Yes, we desperately need help." Blazing started. "We can't hunt well, Rising taugh-"
"Rising?" Frost asked. "Rising Sun at Dawn?"
"Yes!" the tom said. "How did you know?"
"S-she's my m-mother." Frost said.
"Oh." Blazing said.
"That's not a bad idea." Evergreen said. "And who's this Dapplespirit?"
"She helps me." Frost said. "Only I can see her."
"Mhm.. Dawn said, unsure if Frost was lying or not.
"And we should create this Clan?" Violet asked.
"Yes, I think we should." Flurry said. "If StarClan accepted us, we should just do it."
Dapplespirit looked at Frost and said. "You must make the journey first."
"What journey?" Frost asked. "I found the Moonstone!"
"Yes," Dapplespirit started. "You must find the Moonpool."
"I must?" Frost asked.
"Yes." Dapplespirit said. "You must."
"So that's the Lake Clans?" Frost asked.
"Yes." Dapplespirit said. "ThunderClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and SkyClan."
"Look at all that land!" Frost said, cheerfully.
"Follow me." Dapplespirit said.
"Careful." Dapplespirit started. "This is the WindCl-"
"What's a rouge doing so near the border?"
Frost got a little scared. She knew borders, were a thing. The Tribe had them. But she wasn't that close to the border.
"What are you doing here?" a big black tom asked. "Want to join us? No. Join ThunderClan."
"I'm not here to join." Frost growled.
"Bigfur, should we kill her?" a smaller tom asked.
"Maybe." Bigfur said.
Frost leaped, and jumped onto Bigfur's back. Since she was smaller, she was quicker. She unsheathed her claws, and attacked Bigfur, making a huge wound on his face, and pelt. She looked at the other cats, and they ran, leaving Bigfur alone. She looked at him, and left.
"Frost, this is the Moonpool." Dapplespirit said. "Drink from it. StarClan will come."
Frost drinks, and she sleeps. StarClan enters her dreams.
"Hello Frost." a cream coloured cat said. "This is StarClan."
"StarClan?" Frost asked.
"Indeed it is." a speckled cat said. "I'm Specklestar, that is Brightwhisker."
"Hello." Frost said. "Dapplespirit, who are these other cats?"
"Nightstar, Squirrelstar, Rainspirit, Foxcliff, Blazedusk, and Thunderstar. They will give you your nine lives. Are you ready?" Dapplespirit asked.
"Yes." Frost said.
"Frost, I give you a life for curiosity. You explored, and founded this Clan. Use it well." Brightwhisker said.
"With this life I give you courage. Use it well to defend your Clan." Specklestar said.
"With this life I give you loyalty. Use it to guide your Clan." Nightstar said.
"With this life I give you protection. Use it well to protect your Clan." Squirrelstar said.
"With this life I give you pride. Use it well." Blazedusk said.
"With this life I give you trust. Believe in the good cats of your Clan." Rainspirit said.
"With this life I give you patience. You waited so long for your brother." Foxcliff said.
"Oh, Frost." Dapplespirit said. "I'm glad your here. I give you a live for hope and compassion."
"Hello, Frost." a ginger tom said. "I am Thunderstar, founder of ThunderClan. My life was different from yours. But I trust you with this. I give you a life for justice, love and faith. Use it well."
"Froststar! Froststar!"
"Froststar, I have an request for you." Thunderstar said.
"What is it?" Froststar asked.
"Please, Froststar." Thunderstar said. "Take care of him, Thunderkit. You will know why. He needs a second chance, and you can give that second chance."
"I will." Froststar said.
"Thank you." Thunderstar said. "Farewell."
"Froststar! Your back!" Cliff said.
"Yes." Froststar said. "Welcome to FrostClan! I got my name and nine lives!"
"Uhmm.." Cliff started. "I got mine too. These cats are part of CliffClan."
"All?" Froststar asked.
"No no." Cliffstar said. "Some."
"Well, farewell, Cliffstar." Froststar said. "May StarClan light your path."
"May StarClan lights yours too." Cliffstar said. |
