An Age Without Gods begins Forty-Years after a mass extinction of deities. These deities had kept the world in line and commanded magic to flow through every species, even humans. But, with the gods gone most magic has withered, bringing down most species with it and leaving behind blood-thirsty husks.
The gods did leave behind some hope, rare and widely hunted for their blue blood that can bring magic to the person who drinks it, God Spawn; born from shards of the deceased deities. God Spawn look much like humans, their main distinctions being their blue blood, their unruly agility and strength, and a strange/off-putting gleam in their eye (unintentional).
God Spawn are also known for their incredibly strong magic that they hold within themselves, they are not nearly as strong as their god ancestors but they are essentially magic batteries. Most humans kill them and use their blood to enchant their talismans/staves/Amulets, others treat them like gods, hoping that they will be graced by their magic and become powerful once more, some even use them as weapons, placing them in their militaries as ultimate killing machines or healers; Able to heal or slaughter hundreds of soldiers at a time, lastly, only seen in one kingdom known only for its peace and prosperity, welcoming minorities and holding celebrations open to anyone, this place is called Aelythyr, Ruled by a fair king who is God Spawn himself.
Our characters have the goal of getting to Aelythyr, all of which being god-spawn with different backgrounds, powers will differ and you can be creative with them, as long as they aren't op. The role play won't stop at Aelythyr either, it will go onto the characters existing in the kingdom for a little bit, becoming an open-ended roleplay.
The starting point, The Ilani Forest-
A once magic flush forest filled with creatures ranging from the smallest Song Bird to the Titanic beasts now only heard of in fables. Now, the only creatures in it are wolves, crows, and the sparse amount of deer that got lost in it. It seems to stretch on for miles and appears to absorb light as if it is trying to trap whatever poor soul that happens to wander into its clutches.
The Shrine of a dead goddess- (Will draw/paint.)
This landmark is located in the center of the Ilani Forest, it is a statue of the fallen Goddess, Lorowhym, their world's version of mother nature/Gaia. After the goddess's death, the clearing has become overgrown and seems to now be a beacon of mist. There is a bath connected to the landmark, leading out to an open field where a small and weary village can be found.
Mosswood-
The village at the mouth of the Ilani, parts of it seems to be consumed by the woods already. The village seems to strive off of trapping/hunting, which has dwindled slowly since the extinction, and villagers are starting to call it quits and pack up to find somewhere they'll have better income.
Draetik, the first Kingdom-
Ruler: Lord Blythe Draetik (Scheduled to marry Aderyn)
Heirs: Her younger cousin Holly Draetik
Allies: Draetik
The first and one of the most dangerous, your stay should be short. Most of the city is thirsty for God Spawn blood, it is more valuable than diamond in Draetik- owning one, alive, will make someone rich. The once clean and well-respected city smells of death and is filled with criminals and the Lord of the city has turned her back to the city, trying to focus on what can be saved.
Kraymore Mountain Range-
A dangerous mountain range cutting Draetik off from the other kingdoms, it is known for its strong shifts in weather and lack of cover. There are caves, but they are few and far between. They lead out into the next kingdom's country, you will come across a traveling circus filled with God Spawn, they will take you to the next Kingdom.
Sable, the second kingdom-
Ruler: Queen Octavia Sable, her husband, King Gwenmore Sable
Heirs: Their eldest child, Aderyn Sable
Allies: Draetik
Sable is filled with nut jobs who seek out and worship any God Spawn they can, hell, their queen is essentially a cult leader. The city is located directly off of the mountain range, known for its mining, the castle sits on top of a cliff and has lush gardens. Sable is also known for its highly developed technology for a fantasy world.
The Sable Catacombs-
Much like the ones in France, the Sable Catacombs are filled with bones, but these are of the dead deities, their spawn, and the now long gone fantastical races that once roamed alongside humans. These catacombs double as a discrete exit for those who don't wish to be caught.
Fyllnore-
A village that the catacombs open up to. The residents are hardy and are only adapting to the new world, telling tales of the old times. Fyllnore is known for agriculture and fishing, it is quite a bit larger than MossWood.
The Battlegrounds of Lelanolor-
Here is where a great war has taken place, between Sable, Kraymore, and the reigning champion with its GodSpawn soldiers, Helgroth. Many have died upon the once beautiful Lelanolor Meadows, Helgroth has demanded that the carnage must be left as both a warning and a trophy, slowly, the meadow is returning.
Helgroth, the third Kingdom-
Ruler: General Ladon Wellsore.
Heirs: His second in command, Korran Estonia
Allies: The kingdom has shut itself away and is rather hostile, is rather independent.
Helgroth has always been ruled by its military, but before the great extinction, it was known for bringing peace to the world. Now, the general has cast doubt on the world and will battle anyone who gets in his way of power. He treats God Spawn like horses and if they fail him they will be executed, he has yet found the need to drink Blue Blood yet.
The kingdom is now under strict curfews and very few are allowed to leave the kingdom without the perfect reason.
Geihenna Mountain Range-
Unlike the Kraymore, Geihenna is covered in lush forests and many animals have retreated into its welcoming woods. But your characters must be careful of wild beasts and thorns, the forests seem to be maze-like as well.
Aelythyr, the hidden kingdom-
Rulers: King Sabon Aelythyr, lost his wife a couple of years ago to an illness but he's remarried to Eowyn Dex
Heirs: He has three children, the eldest of which is, Maedai, She is known for her Musical abilities. The second eldest is Mannix, known for his intellect. And the youngest is Leatrix, known for her immense strength.
Allies: Has been forgotten, yet to reach out.
Aelythyr, located in a basin, surrounded on all sides by mountains covered in maze-like forests. This wonder of a kingdom has been long forgotten by the outside world, and despite being the smallest, it is quickly growing from all of those flocking to it for refuge. Aelythyr is a beacon for magic, and the closer one gets to the kingdom the more magical everything seems. In Aelythyr, it seems like nothing has changed.

Our characters start at some point in the woods, having hidden in the Ilani forest for varying periods of time. You should find another person soon.
Xenos strode through the forest quietly, deciding it was high time he found his way out of this strange forest. He listened to the ambient noises tentatively, not wanting to be attacked by any hungry animals. Thankfully, for now, he only heard faint bird song.
Xenos came upon a decline in his path, he looked down the fallen leaf-covered path, looking for any signs of traps. There weren't any, thankfully; he slid down, making sure he didn't fall. At the bottom, he stood up and began to walk further.
(Xenos isn't open, Birds and I planned on having Xenos and their character meet.)
Idalia knew something was up with these woods, especially where she was at. Even if she was only two days deep, it seemed much deeper... And darker. The thought made her waver a little. At least she had her torch- She looked at the stick she set on fire for a make-shift light source, it was already wavering. The blonde took a deep breath and continued onward. This wasn't a bad idea, this wasn't a bad idea- this is a quest of wisdom! He reassured himself, trying not to let himself get scared.

Madrigal made quick haste over the foliage, carefully tightening the straps of both their guitar and bag as quiet waterflow and the calls of murders fluttered to the ground below. If they had any way to describe this place it was simply off. The same kind of unease that one may get if they woke up in their home and everything was moved slightly to the left. The trees seemed to twist unnaturally and either were too short or had no clear end. It was much too quiet, yet they weren't graced with the certainty of silence.
Needless to say, their hand continuously drifted towards the hilt of their dagger. It certainly didn't help that the best they could do to not get entirely too lost was to to do their best to keep the small stream on their right. The wide scarf that rested on their shoulders was pulled upwards in a halfhearted attempt to calm their nerves.

Rea shivered as she stepped forward, forcing herself to keep her head up even as her footsteps grew more and more hesitant. She'd been trying to find her way back to the edge of the forest - she'd gone in too deep, and she didn't want to end up too far from civilization, even though that was the very thing she was trying to avoid at this time.
Squinting into the darkness in an attempt to make out anything amongst the hulking shadows of trees and other foliage, she noticed a faint, flickering light, nearly swallowed by the surrounding gloom. A fire, maybe? Or maybe she'd just imagined it- wait, there it was again.
As she took another slight step forward, almost without noticing, a branch cracked under her foot, and she bit down on a yelp, hand flying to the knife hidden in the waistband of her dress. Cursing herself for her carelessness, Rea hurriedly retreated, as quietly as she could, to a safer distance. She'd heard plenty of ghost stories of tempting lights that lured travelers to their deaths in woods like these, and though she'd never been the superstitious sort, it was much harder to dismiss them when she was actually surrounded by such woods.

Xenos looked around once more, like that of a scared deer. The brunette didn't see any watching eyes, so he continued on the path, his hand hovering over his weapon. After being in the Ilani forest for so long, he had become accustomed to the winding trees and the possible dangers that hid amongst them.
The sound of rushing water only allured him; slowly he made his way to the noise, only slightly straying from his path. Xenos was dehydrated and hadn't gotten water before he left his make-shift home. He left it this morning, or, at least, he thought it was. It was hard to tell in a place where the sun didn't really exist.
Slowly, he crept towards the stream, grabbing his cantine from his bag. In his haste, he stepped on a stick, though, he wasn't paying enough attention at that moment to hear it. As soon as he was close enough, he knelt next to the water's edge and gathered the water before taking a sip.

(Ah yes, sorry)
Idalia heard the faint crack and they jumped, scanning the area for any signs of danger. After finding nothing, the small blonde flattened their colorful blouse.
After one last quick scan, she continued, reminding herself that she was only imagining things. You're not in peril- goodness, if you have to, you can light this forest up, you won't get hurt. Idalia reminded herself, hopping over a fallen tree effortlessly. This did make her torch dwindle and she gasped, going to make it a little brighter by blowing on it. after a moment, the light grew brighter, once more cutting through the foreboding gloom that seemed to grab at their being as if to engulf them into a nightmare-filled void. Yet again, a chill rand down Idalia's spine. As if to ease her nerves, she hummed a well-known song amongst her family to herself. Everything would have been better if they had at least one familiar face with her.
But, instead of running out of the woods with her tail between her legs like a coward, she followed along a cliffside, as a pack of wolves picked at something below. She scrunched her nose, disgusted.

Alastor was roaming the woods being silent. His eyes pealed for any movement that could harm him. He found one of his traps and saw that he caught a rabbit. He went towards the trap and snapped the rabbits neck. He sighed and reset the trap, covering it with leaves and grass. He starts to walk aimlessly around with the rabbit in his left hand.
(Alastor is open, and I didn't know If I should ping everyone so sorry about that)

January was, like most of the others, presently wandering the Ilani woods. Critical silver eyes taking in the lot of his surroundings, his posture and his silence is definitely that of a hunter. Exhaling quietly, January puts down his bag of supplies as he prepares a small, but somewhat sufficient meal over a makeshift fire pit.
(January is open!)
