This RP is set in the world of Dorei - a place overrun with pain.

There are four Acolytes that appeared long ago. . .Itami, Heru, Kanashimi, and Shiawase. Once they arrived, the light of the world drove Itami mad - to the very point that he laid waste to any living thing in his path. This was centuries ago. . .

Today, the Acolytes are in a deep slumber. A small piece of their consciousness must be dwelling somewhere, though. . .will you help awaken them? What will happen when you choose?

A story I typed late at night to help with this ^ is in the next post.

Here's the rules!

1. No godmodding, instant kills/unavoidable strikes, or forced control without the other person's permission
2. Swearing is okay, but please don't use it too much
3. Maximum of two characters (for now)
4. Ping all associated with your character's action, and me
5. Reply in a timely manner, preferably within 24 to 36 hours
6. Put the word "metric" in your "Other" so I know you read these
7a. Magic and non-human species are allowed. Characters can find animal companions on the way, but please put if you would like to find a companion in your "Other" so I can make sure.
7b. I will control any discovered companion until it "bonds" with the character. When this happens, I will let the player know companion control is now theirs.

Welcome to Dorei - you must have travelled quite far to get to this place, a voice whispers. This is the world of Ends and Beginnings; Order and Chaos. Duck behind that rock there, now-

Not questioning its command, you quickly get to the shaded of a large boulder and sit with your back to it. You feel. . .something passing by. Something dark and chilling.

That is one of the Acolytes' remnants, the voice states. There are four of them. It is of Itami - one you do not want to cross.

You see a faint shimmer in front of you. . .it gradually fades into what can only be described as a lion made of pure light.

And I, it says. I am Yokoso, although after you begin your journey here, you will not remember that. But before you enter, you must learn of some things.

These Acolytes - yes, I see you shivering with some fear - are not all Evil. Take that thought away. Think of them like the seasons: they balance each other out. You have just felt some of Itami, but you still have yet to experience the others. . .Zandaka, Kanashimi, and Shiawase.

Yokoso shakes its mane. Their names are all you need know. You will find them if your actions are right. When that happens, you may realize why they exist. But for now, balance. It will be your best weapon.
