So I want to enter in the nurturing contest, but I don't know how. I looked all over the page and I couldn't find anything. I nurtured a few pets but it still says you have not yet participated in this contest. How can I enter?

You must nurture pets of a specific species to show up on that species's board. For example, if you nurture 5 aeridini kids, you'll have 5 points on the aeridini nurture board.

Each species has its own set of boards, so be sure to use the dropdown menu to look through them.

Thank you, I finally managed to enter the contest. So now I have another problem. How do I change the color of my staff? I've seen it in a lot of different colors but I can't find out how. Is there a button or something?

The staff your avatar is holding? Held items are not recolorable. You'd have to get the other colored versions to drop from somewhere (I don't know where they come from right off).

Other categories of avatar items, like outfits and heads, have some items with fixed colors and others, "recolors", that you can choose the colors for. But helds are never recolor.

If it's the "mossy" variant of the staff then it stays green. A lot of helds are pre colored and you can not adjust them.
