I'm pretty sure that no one is particularly thrilled with the mutations that make the color designation "darker" for certain areas instead of giving them proper contrast. Warhorse Armors on the Qitari, for example? Rarely liked, many complaints. When Battle Armor was changed on the Griffi shortly after their release? I was sorely disappointed because it ruined a whole slew of "knight" designs I was planning for them. We have AC2 for mutations now; I can't imagine it'd be too hard to simply change the designation from "grey version of x" to AC2.

Griffi: M2 Battle Armor

Lighira: M1 Ball and Chain (the chain - not as noticeable as other traits, but why not?)

Qitari: M1 Warhorse Armor (Everything) which I've seen numerous complaints about over the years for the gray. Want a light design on those? HAH! Not gonna happen unless your design intentionally uses a ton of gray.

At the very least, maybe we can something NOT grayed out? I'm not sure how/why it was done differently, but the Qitari Western Saddle does the same "alter the main color for the trait" but instead of turning grey, it's just a little more saturated in color. Would still be nice to see AC2 on this as well, eventually, but at least it isn't a design-breaking nuisance.

So much support for this. I never understood why Battle Armor wasn't a two tone trait instead of greying out the one colour. The greying out rarely looks good, even on darker colours. And Warhorse Armor? Well, I have a whole other thread in suggestions on wanting to fix that trait, but this suggestion would certainly go a long way toward helping, especially if it's easier to enact than my suggestion of making the headpiece act similarly to the zolnixi's ball mask.

As for the lighira ball and chain... I'm hoping that trait gets a complete overhaul in their eventual revamp, but doing this in the meantime would be lovely.

Sadly on the Griffi, that wasn't always the case. They had ~four days of battle Armor being an awesome, 4-color trait. (EC for the gems, C3 for the accent, M2 and C2 for the bulk of the armor.)

Made another change to Griffies. On Battle Armor, Color 2 is no longer used on part of the armor. It has been replaced with a darker overlay of Mutation Color 2.

Definitely supporting this. Some more uses for AC2 would be really nice and those traits could be so nice.
