Upon closer inspection, the flowers look normal. 6 pale blue petals sprouting from a yellow middle, sitting atop a deep green stem. Strangely though, the grass around the flower is short and nearly dead.
What do you do now?
I take a good look around and try and find what is killing the grass.

Feeling around the flower, your hand touches somwthing hard, something more like stone than dirt.
A small hole in the middle of the unnatural bulge catches your eye. Strangely, it looks like a keyhole.
I look at the keyhole for a moment, then I look around quickly.
"A key...?" I turn to my Vulps, "Have either of you seen something that could open this up?"
I look at it once more before I bang on it with my hands to see if that does anything.

You hear a hollow thump but other than that, the trunk does not move.
Anju shrugs while Rowan looks around quizzically as if to say 'I think I saw something shiny before...'

A strange bronze ring is stuck to the ground besides the dying grass.
You hear a hollow thump but other than that, the trunk does not move.
Anju shrugs while Rowan looks around quizzically as if to say 'I think I saw something shiny before...'
"Do you think you saw something?" I lean closer to Rowan, "If you did, can you lead me towards it?"
I prepare to follow Rowan.

Rowan nods, barking for Anju to follow before running off back the way you came.
She seems to be digging at the dort, but after some time, something shiny glints through the soil. Briar rests for a moment, tongue lolling, before continuing to dig.
