I look around, studying the terrain.

The forest is dark, with specks of light caused by the sunlight shining on leaves through the treetops. A dirt path leads furthur within. After some walking, you reach a fork in the path. Hadrian looks indecisively at the rockier path and the the grassy path. Should you go to the:
1. Rockier Path
2. Grassy Path

I head for the grassy path, if only because I don't want to accidentally trip on the rocks. Which is a very plausible incident.

The grass is high, almost concealing Matrix. Clusters of small flowers add bright splashes of colour to the otherwise green landscape.

Trying to keep track of Matrix, I slowly advance.

Hadrian yaps excitably and charges through the grass. He stops and looks back at you, waiting. A low growl sounds from behind the trees and Hadrian jumps up, frightened. Another hiss comes from the other side, sounding threatening yet hurt.
Should you:
1. Invesigate the growl
2. Investigate the hiss
3. Continue on

You hear a squeak, so soft it's barely audible. Two green ears perk up from the grass, heading towards the right.

I cautiously investigate the hiss.

I'm relieved Matrix is still there. The flowers are attracting, yet I'm careful.

There's the squeak again, coming from the left.
