I frown. "Well, I've never tried something like that... How does the spell work? It's probably better if I understand it first."

I shrug, deciding it's worth a try. "Alright, let me try."

(I'm unsure how this'll work, I'm guessing I just attempt to do it and you let me know whether I was successful or not?)

(Let's completely forget about the Elf's name. He's name is Sylva as far as we're concerned.)
"We're very convincing, aren't we?" Sylva says in a loud whisper. The Siren arches a eyebrow. "I'm not deaf, you know. How about I get an explanation first?"

(Oh shoot I completely forgot about this, sorry! >-<)

"Oh, well, that's inconvenient," I murmur. Then, in a louder voice, I tell the Siren about Sylva's dream and our plan to stop the war.
"So, uh, we'd appreciate if you don't kill us, and we'd appreciate even more if you decide to join us...?" I finish, slightly uncertainly.

Perhaps a few more details about your plan will help convince me about your... unattainable dream." Sylva immediately directs his gaze to you, obviously expecting you to explain.
