I like the new style and I also like the fact that the creature isn't always staring at you..it has become such a common feature with all the creatures that it lacks any uniqueness.
It looks wonderful and look forward to getting one once it is released.

Let's play spot the difference!

I see...

-The color change (Obviously. But the focus here is the lineart.)
-The slitted eyes (Very fitting. I approve. But those wide eyes were so endearing...)
-The tail tips don't have as many feathers, but the ones they do have are wider.
-The wings are shorter, and all of the feathers are more rounded and spaced out.
-The rows of feathers on the females upper wing are more spaced out.

That seems to be it! Any that I missed?

(P.S. Can we see the babies? Please?)

Ah, that's what was missing. Changing the eyes makes such a big difference! I love their expressions now. The previous pupils gave them an odd look, now that I can compare. (Also, for anyone trying to find all the changes, the male's beak is a little different, and the female's claws are slightly shorter, too.)

Edit: *Bounces excitedly* I can't wait to see the new Faelora! I've been waiting so long for their revamp!

Theses look great! Although, i was hoping to see the female have a softer look in her eyes. I love the idea of the "cat eyes" but maybe make them look a bit friendlier on the female? She looks bratty like the old style of female Nixis. But other than that, I welcome the change as a Nyte collector <3

hm... preferred the male's eyes before the adjustment, they felt decently fierce and I just liked them more shape-wise and size-wise on him. Female though, yes, an improvement in Fierce.

The tail does look better with the fewer feathers.

on what we poked in ^:

Male's pupils I'd say definitely need some poking because he does,as someone mentioned, look kinda crosseyed (like he's trying to look at a bug hovering just over his beak), rather than fierce.

Female,,, pleas,,, nec k??

Smooth over the far arm on the male somehow so it doesn't have that sharp line?

Make the far toe on the female's closer foot a bit thicker?

Really would like to see some coverlets at the wing/body intersection (would smooth the transition+give a few more 'body' feathers, make the shoulder look stronger)

Male hindleg still could maybe be a little thicker?

-

Nice to see they got a bit of a nail trim, though they still seem pretty long for an animal that would be walking on them (honestly the current art has a more logical claw shape for an animal that would be walking around a good portion of the time?)
"but how would they grip prey with shorter, less-curved nails?" (and at this point I'm not saying "overhaul the entire claws" I just feel like throwing in some Biologies because I Can Do That, even if I do miss the fourth hind toe in the adults and actually Now I'm confused because didn't the babies still have their fourth hind toe last time we saw them? Though I suppose that was back in September so we don't know what the babies look like now)

Consider the deinonichus's foot (the claws would have been larger in life, since they would have had a nail on them like cats and dogs and modern-day birds and so on, but still, flatter)

then consider how their hind feet are currently believed to have been able to hold their prey, judging by the flexation their feet were capable of, even the dew-claw

CHONK go the claws into the prey

Anyway that was our Biology Corner section for the day.
