The world cannot thrive without balance, as most know. Where is good there is evil, where light exists, so must darkness. The Althea Realm is ruled by the 12 Champions, who create balance by their existence. The twelve Champions are divided into two groups, the "good" alignment and the "evil" alignment. They both must balance each other actions, for each death there must be a new life, for every feeling of love there has to be an equal amount of hate somewhere in the realm. It creates order and harmony, because if there was only light, the world would never rest. If there was only death, no life could remain.
Although the Champion of Darkness grew very sick of this balance, he wanted something new, exciting. Some purpose other than balance as he had been forced to maintain. He created chaos, and with the Champion of War, he created a battle between good and evil champions. This caused mass destruction and imbalance across the realm. This left all the Champions, including himself, weakened and mortally injured.
They grew even more ill as a century passed, and all of them knew that they needed someone to take all of their places. They called in twelve mortals to come to the Great Above, where they would become immortal and become the new Champions of the realm. Although they are all on horrible terms with each other, they all agreed that none of them are allowed to bring danger to each other's replacement. After all, they only have one more day to live before their time is up. That's part of the deal they arranged with each other, they will all cease to exist after spending one day to "train" their replacements.
All of the new Champions need to decide for themselves now, will they take the side of their Champions? Or will they set a new path and try to restore peace? You have been chosen by a Champion to take their place, so who might I ask are you?

Light-
This Champion can summon light into their hands, and bend light as well. They also give off a bit of a white "glow" on their skin.
Dark-
This Champion can summon a "blanket" of darkness around them or others, and they are able to blind people temporarily. They have night vision as well, and can see perfectly in the dark.
Peace-
This Champion can make people feel calm and more susceptible to reason, and their general presence makes you feel at ease.
War-
This Champion can make people feel combative and angry. Their presence gives most an irritable feel. This Champion can also make plans and strategies very easily.
Fire-
This Champion can summon a fire from their arms, and they are unable to burn. They can handle very hot temperatures.
Water-
This Champion can summon water, as well as breath under water. They can manipulate water around them as well, if it's near them.
Sickness-
This Champion can make people very ill, using plagues or simple illnesses to bring people down. It merely weakened them, but it can be very effective in wiping out en masse.
Health-
This Champion can heal injuries without price, as well as cure sicknesses or ailments. They can make the blind see, and the disabled able.
Love-
This Champion isn't easily hated by people, and can even matchmake between people. Their aura gives you a pleasant feeling.
Hate-
This Champion can make people turn on each other easily, and gives people an unsettling feeling.
Life-
This Champion can give things life, and even save things from death. Their touch can bring something like a rock to life. They can also communicate with anything alive, including animals and plants.
Death-
This Champion has a touch that can kill anything living. They can also summons the dead in times of need. Their touch doesn't kill right away, however if they keep their hand on something alive, it will slowly turn to ash.

Personality:
Artemesia at first glance is a reserved girl. She observes more often than she speaks. When she does speak, her words are blunt and never differ from her exact thoughts. She speaks her mind, whether or not the person next to her agrees or not. She doesn't believe in pleasing others for the sake of being courteous. It does neither her or the other person any good.
Artemesia seems to be a bit emotionless at times, or rather that her thoughts are elsewhere. Sometimes it seems like she wants to be anywhere else but where she is. It's hard to tell what hoes through her mind.
Although, there is a side of her that only comes out when she's pushed past her limit. Sometimes her sanity leaves her completely, and she becomes the most heartless and cruel person you will ever meet. Artemesia almost desires the chaos, because it's the only thing that she knows well. Without chaos, she doesn't know what to do if she doesn't need to survive all the time.
Backstory:
Artemesia has experienced the full force of the chaos that the Champion of Darkness created. Her parents were slain in front of her a few years ago, and that's right about the same time she locked most of her emotions away. "Silly hinderances" is what she calls them. She knew what it took to survive, and she did so. Artemesia has never once let go of her imagination or unique outlook though. She likes to wonder "what if" very often. She sees things that most don't, because she takes the time to look for them. Her will to outlive everyone else around her took over, and now she lives just to survive.
On another note, don't think that she won't kill you, she will if it benefits her. She's killed many of her "friends" over the past years.
Strengths:
Her observation skills, reading people's actions/body language, outmaneuvering people, her speed
Weaknesses:
She has little upper body strength, she is as skinny as a twig, her mental state isn't always stable

Dying, being at peace with the world and herself

Personality:
Cyprian is a bit of a shy person, he doesn't like arguments or fights. In all honesty, arguing and fighting scares him pretty bad. He's easily flustered, and very bashful. His stuttering sometimes makes him hard to understand, but he does try desperately to not stutter. Sometimes it just takes him longer than most to find what he wants to say. He is a pacifist, and he will not use violence ever against anyone for any reason. In fact, that is about the only thing you can do to really make him upset or angry. Violence unnerves him. He wants everyone to at least find SOMETHING to agree on.
Backstory:
Cyprian grew up in a torn household in the slums of a broken kingdom. War and fighting were all he had ever known or seen, and he's always been different. He never wanted anything to do with arguments or fighting, unlike his broken family. There was a lot of abuse in his home, so that's what made him so driven not to ever use his hand against anyone. He will be beaten to death before he fights back.
Strengths:
Cyprian is smart, he can makes a lot of things from nothing, and he doesn't need very much
Weaknesses:
Cyprian is frail physically, he won't put up a fight, and sometimes he's a bit stubborn

Personality: Sirona tends to be quiet, shy, and even skittish at times. Her awkwardness tends to alienate people from her. Though, the few who stick around, she will be very talkative too and clingy around. Though, when there is something that bothers her immensely, she will make it clear. Though, she is always kind and caring.
Backstory: She was training to be a healer from a young age. She has always been very gentle and soft spoken. She knew she couldn't be a warrior, hunter, or anything involving violence or strength. Though a lot of people in her home town saw her as far too weak, so she left her home to pursue higher education and make a name for herself. When she was chosen to replace the champion of health, she wholeheartedly accepted.
Strengths: She is very compassionate, she is great at hiding, she can be calm in a crisis, and a great listener.
Weaknesses: She is physically weak, easily frightened, and a bit clumsy.
Fears: She fears death and spiders.
Abilities: This Champion can heal injuries without price, as well as cure sicknesses or ailments. They can make the blind see, and the disabled able.

Personality: He is very loud and opinionated. He is easily angered. He can be friendly, but only to those who agree with him or if it benefits him. He also tends to think he is better than anyone else.
Backstory: He never had much problem with fire. Despite his parents dying in one when he was fine with it. Though, when he got older, his parent's loss started to bother him. So, he started setting fires. It was kind of his way of coping. He was never found out and too most, he just seemed a charming man.
Strengths: He is strong, very assertive, and quite resourceful.
Weaknesses: He is easily angered and doesn't always think before he speaks or does something.
Fears: He fears being forgotten and being weak.
Abilities: This Champion can summon a fire from their arms, and they are unable to burn. They can handle very hot temperatures.

Backstory: It's....complicated. Involves his family being murdered and him wanting revenge.
Strengths: Knows a lot about things like plants and stuff.
Weaknesses: Is very. Very. Shy
Fears: Someone else close to him dying...or worse.
Abilities: Withering ( slowly kills whatever he touches.)

Personality: Sanpe + Nico di Angelo, but acts like Arion-his mouth is fouler probably tbh lol
Backstory: His family is practically all dead or presumably dead, his cloosest confident, his younger sister, drowned in a river. He has a lot of hate built up and loathes society, preferign to keep to himself.
Strengths: Is a great shot with an arrow or a dagger (he finds dagger throwing is a good anger reliever)
Weaknesses: Trust. Not cussing. Being normal
Fears: people, bright lights (it hurts his eyes), etc. Basically think a vampire. Oh and pineapples and pigeons. (Although he's undecided about the birds)
Abilities: The ability to create unease among people (Which he technically already does with his unconventional getup)
Love Interest:No. (Unless it's Lala's Astra Qin. Otherwise it's just not very natural.....and I've tried.)
Other: Don't mention the streak in his hair. Or his sister. Won't end well.
