I don't know if this is on purpose or not but; I just got to the Lost Grove and I'm giving this guy everything I earn for him to build the barracks thing. The moose horn ladies are pretty easy to beat up, so they drop a bunch of cloth, and I finish that task pretty quick. Except, when I give him all the branches and stuff, it still says he's taking the cloth. Does he just . . . rob me?

Mats for stage progression usually aren't used for much else. The NPCs can be fed infinitely until all tasks are completed. This is true even at the vanguard of stage progression - we can continue turning in mats as we wait 87 years for the next stage

Yup unfortuantely that's how things work....and...um...I guess the captains and guards and researchers are just really greedy. *shrugs*
