sylestia genetics works on a punnett square system, with trait dominance that's N>A>B>C>D>E>etc.
(with N being Nothing, and each letter representing a trait in that slot- you can look in the Generator to see what letter in any given slot belongs to any given trait)
(for example, the RWS luff male that's been linked in the thread has G3 (CG) Lucky Runes- which is Visible Lucky Runes with Hidden Electric Shock)

As such, to breed a luff with vis G2 wyvern and vis M1 flower adornment, its parents would need to both have those two traits in their genetics (since both are the newest trait additions in those slots, and thus cannot be dominant over any other trait at this point)

looking at the first post
"1 car + 1 car = 45/65 chance of Vis or Car" ???
... No?
1carry x 1carry = 25% vis, 25% carry (parent1's trait), 25% carry (parent2's trait), 25% Nothing
(a 75% chance that there will be a trait either vis or carried in the slot)

we have a guide page here that has an example punnett square (which links through to a blank template that you can use)

Ok.

*deep breath*

If a pet has a trait that says AA and you try to breed it with a pet that has DD but in the same slot, its more likely AA will come out. The closer the letter I'd to A, he more likely it'll come out visible then the pet with DD.
Yes you can include hatchiligns and adolescents but that's so you can see possible resailts.
You also cant breed parents with their childten, sibling swith siblings/stepsiblings, and grandparents with grandhildren.

Does any of that mumbo jumbo make sense?

Edit: scath beat me to it. Look at theirs first.

Yeah Yeah, I does. Idk why everyone says "you can't breed hatchlings" tho. I do know that I mean test breed ofc. And I know you cant breed siblings from a experiment way back when. Thanks for the letter explanation.

Alright thanks for the help! I really appreciate it Scath, btw my little 45/65 thing is just how I view it in my head cause' I dont know the actually numbers. That is how ignorant I am to how breeding works, I breed so little that I didn't know if you bred pets with carries in the same slot it might come out with nothing, I thought it would have to be either carry or vis. And thanks for the explanation of why none of my test breeds came out with Wyvern, I suppose that makes sense. Do you know when the new traits might lose that um.. none-dominance? (Do they at all???) ofc I don't expect you to give me a exact date but how long would you guess that will be?

they will always be less dominant than the other ones. when new traits come put for that slot those are less dominant

Or if the traits get reshuffled during a revamp. That happens too.
