Eureka I think I've got it.

So I sat here and pressed test breed for a solid minute and got FA 3 times. So the chance is slim, but I think I've got it now!

test breed doesnt garentee anything. its just showing u possible vis genes

you have 4 possibles: NA AK NK KK
1/4 chance to get the KK wich is what you want.

Okay if theres a limited amount of letter combinations, doesn't that been the test breed can only show you those limited combos? I guess I get what your saying though, I do like to just click through till I get lots of repeats of what i saw before, just so i can access my options (Keep in mind im still stuck in the test breed mentality, also, all this letter mumbo jumbo almost seems like math to me xD)

it doesnt show you the percent chance, or any carries/hidden. ig you do you if it works. ( someone els can prob explain better xD )

Ye Ye i'm absorbing the information your spouting, I dont mean to me salty about it, it just so happens to be what works for me. As someone who stares at Trait letters and my eyes cross, but can advance search like a boss. We chill tho right? I am reading what your saying xD

oh for sure lol, didnt mean to sound like im arguing. when project breeding sometimes you need carries more than vis, so i barely even use the test breed function.

technically it is math in a way, but it's pretty simple math.

Each parent has two trait letters in each slot, each of those two trait letters has a 50/50 chance of being the one passed down to offspring
Carried traits (N_) have a 50% chance that they'll pass on Nothing, and 50% that they'll pass on whatever the Carried trait is.

N (nothing) is the most dominant trait, and if it is inherited any non-N trait letter inherited from the other parent in that slot will be Carried.
Following that, trait dominance descends down the alphabet (so traits with the letter A are dominant to all other letters (except N), B is dominant to all letters except A (and N), etc.)
(Hence why Hidden traits are always in alphabetical order- the closer to A, the more dominant)

There is literally no way of knowing when any given species of pet is going to get a new trait. Wyvern and Flower Arrangement were added just this Summer Fest, so they're literally among the very newest traits on the site at the moment.
The way new traits are chosen (see: the currently active "Trait Design" Contest in the Official Games and Contests forum: people design traits, submit them, and Krin and Faiona will pick a few of the ideas they like to become the base idea for new traits) means it could be next fest or it could be in ten fests time


In the case of the two luffs you posted, offspring could be:

Gene One: (NN) 100%

Gene Two: (NN) 100%

Gene Three:
NC (carried Lucky Runes) 50%,
NG (carried Electric Shock) 50%

Mutation One:
NA (carried bunny tail) 25%,
NK (carried flower adornment) 25%,
AK (vis bunny tail, hidden flower adornment) 25%,
KK (vis flower adornment) 25%

Mutation Two:
NN (nothing) 25%
NC (carried Tassel Costume) 25%
NJ (carried Maine Coon Ears) 25%
CJ (vis Tassel Costume, hidden Maine Coon Ears) 25%

Mutation Three: (NN) 100%
