SPRING WATER SYLVORPA
Guess the 6-vis traits

ENDED! Thanks for stopping by!

I am very, very close to getting the first 6-vis Spring Water Sylvorpa. However, since I make an effort to use as wide a genetic pool as possible, it's always a surprise as to what traits end up being visible on that first pet.

I have several six-trait pets with five vis at this point, too many to list here, as well as dozens of 6t with fewer vis who are still capable of parenting a 6-vis. I'm making an active effort to incorporate every available trait into this project, though there are some which have naturally become more dominant than others. Not every breeding run will be aimed at immediate 6-vis, though most will have the potential. It's all up to randomness.

-----

To play, just ping me with your guess for each trait.
When the eventual first 6-vis hatches we'll see who was closest!

Example guess:
G1 Blackcap Jawfish
G2 Henna
G3 Rippling Runes
M1 Body Webbing
M2 Dragonfly Wings
M3 Fanned Head Fins

-----

The prize will be your choice of any one of the following options. I tried to come up with lots of possibilities so there should be something that whoever wins would actually want. :)

-A custom egg from any of my breeding projects or themes, of your choice. There are a few unbred tagged which I reserve the right to refuse on, but anyone who's been bred before or who is an offspring, any species, any theme, is available to use as a parent.
or
-A tagged, tamed Spring Water Sylvorpa from the 2014 Spring Festival, your choice of male or female.
or
-A tagged, tamed Chocolate Paws Lupora from the 2014 Spring Festival, your choice of male or female.
or
-An enhanced generator essence for Vulnyx, Bulbori, or Faelora
or
-Any scale shop items adding up to no more than 5000 scales in cost.

-----

Everyone can guess one time, free of charge, no strings attached! However, there's a fee of 500 gold if you want to change your mind, or 2000 gold to add an additional guess.

Once the 6-vis hatches, any guesses made after that point will not be accepted. I don't know when it'll happen; could be in a few days, could be not for a month. I'll post here when the time comes.

If multiple people guess the same thing, or are equally close, prizes will be distributed in order of who guessed first.

If the winner doesn't respond to decide on their prize within two days, I'll give the reward to the next closest guess instead and continue in this manner until someone does claim it.

I think that's everything, but I'm going to make a couple res in case I come up with anything I missed. This is my first time trying a contest like this, so let me know if you have any comments or questions!

The following traits ARE NOT currently in the project, so don't bother guessing them:

Gene 1 - Nereid Spots
Gene 3 - Water Dragon Runes
Mutation 1 - Encroaching Seaweed, Lotus Scales, Nereid Jewelry, Water Dragon Fins
Mutation 2 - Nereid Wings, Water Dragon Wings
Mutation 3 - Seaweed Whirlwind, Floating Lotus, Fairy Crown, Nereid Crown, Water Dragon Horrns

All other Sylvorpa traits are possible.

-----

There are a few traits which don't have a 6-trait male yet and thus are currently unlikely choices. They are slated to be integrated further in future generations, but as of right now they're less likely than anything else:

Gene 1 - Spotted Drum, Leaf Veins
Gene 2 - Henna, Clown Triggerfish
Gene 3 - Saltwater Betta, Lotus Lights
Mutation 1 - Sharp Webbing
Mutation 2 - Lotus Flowers

All other Sylvorpa traits have at least one representative with at least 6 carries and thus are capable of producing a 6-vis.

1 point for vis match, .5 point for hidden match

G1: Water Tiger vis, Emperor Angelfish hidden. Match: none.
G2: Achilles Tang vis, Water Tiger hidden. Match: Sairento guessed Water Tiger!
G3: Iridesence doubled. Match: none.
M1: Lionfish Spikes doubled. Match: Everyone but Liz512 guessed Lionfish Spikes!
M2: Webbed Wings doubled. Match: Malas120 and Sairento guessed Webbed Wings!
M3: Mystic Head Fins vis, Lucky Dust hidden. Match: Encryption and Malas120 guessed Mystic Head Fins!

Looks like Malas120 is our winner, with Sairento coming in very close second.

HOWEVER!
I'm going to also consider the other three who hatched at the same time, and give out a second prize for whoever has the overall highest match. I'll do the full analysis in the next few days, but I haven't the time right now.

WE HAVE OUR SIX VIS!

Spring Water Victoria, welcome to the world. :)
Gene 1: (LW) Water Tiger
Gene 2: (IL) Achilles Tang
Gene 3: (DD) Iridescence
Mutation 1: (EE) Lionfish Spikes
Mutation 2: (DD) Webbed Wings
Mutation 3: (FJ) Mystic Head Fins

In fact, I actually have FOUR! From the same batch of eggs, born the same day. I've never had that happen before.

Gene 1: (KS) Fiddler Ray
Gene 2: (GJ) Spark Stripes
Gene 3: (DD) Iridescence
Mutation 1: (II) Sea Fur
Mutation 2: (CD) Bio-luminescent Wings
Mutation 3: (FJ) Mystic Head Fins

Gene 1: (KK) Fiddler Ray
Gene 2: (GG) Spark Stripes
Gene 3: (BB) Lucky Runes
Mutation 1: (EE) Lionfish Spikes
Mutation 2: (CD) Bio-luminescent Wings
Mutation 3: (DF) Spooky Fog

Gene 1: (KV) Fiddler Ray
Gene 2: (GL) Spark Stripes
Gene 3: (BB) Lucky Runes
Mutation 1: (AE) Body Webbing
Mutation 2: (CC) Bio-luminescent Wings
Mutation 3: (DF) Spooky Fog

The most interesting thing is how little overlap there is. 3 and 4 are basically twins, but even there there's some variance.

The only thing that all four share is the F (mystic head fins) trait in M3, but some have it visible while others it's hidden.

Bio-luminescent Wings and Webbed Wings are exactly evenly split, but since the Bio [C] is dominant over Webbed [D] it's visible on three out of four.

Three of the four have Fiddler Ray in G1 - all but the first. Three of the four have Spark Stripes in G2 - all but the first.

Lionfish Spikes are the most common M1 trait, appearing doubled in two and carried in another. Spooky Fog takes half the M3 vis, while Mystic Fins covers the Lucky Dust carry in the other two.

Overall, a very successful batch of 'vorpa. :D

Thank you all for entering!

It ends when there is a 6-vis Spring Water Sylvorpa in the world.

There is no one egg. I have dozens of males breeding with dozens of females, any of whom COULD be the one, but most of which probably won't be. I have no way of knowing when it ends. Could be next week, could be not for months. That's what makes it fun! It's totally mysterious and unknown. Otherwise it would just be a matter of looking at the parents and calculating the genetics. This way it's truly up to chance. :)

Best wishes. I'm actively breeding toward the most diverse genetic pool possible, so there are quite a few sylvorpa in the project. ;) You have my utmost respect if you actually search through them all. ;-O
