Hello ^^
Just stumbled across this thread and it got me interested ^o^

ID: 127485
preferred writing genre: Fantasy and a bit of Adventure
age[optional]: 30 (Will turn 31 in November xD)
writer? editor?: As English isn't my native language I guess writer suits me better xD
other facts you want known about you or your writing:
Well... I already said that English isn't my first language and I somehow tend to get creative in the middle of the night, so I bet there will ALWAYS be some errors in my writing. So please be kind and patient with me xD
It helps me, if you correct my mistakes/bad habits of writing and such, so please feel free to do so :)

I guess you could say my art of writing is more soft and easy to understand (even though I sometimes get strangled in really long sentences xD), and are enjoyable for both young and old (in my opinion).
Well... I'm an adult and still love books like Warrior Cats and Legends of Ga'Hoole and such as well as Eragon and a bunch more of new and old books (I have 300+ Books) I guess these mirror a bit my own writing style. (Or rather my writing style mirrors them xD)

Some of my favourite stories:
(I try to translate the German title, so sorry if it does have a different name in English)
The old Kingdom (Trilogy by Garth Nyx)
The Neschan-Trilogy (by Ralf Isau)
The Dragon Warrior (by Licia Troisi)
The Guardians of Ga'Hoole (by Kathryn Lasky)
Warrior Cats (by Erin Hunter)
Harry Potter (by Joanne K. Rowling)
Eragon (by Christopher Paolini)

Thank you ^o^
I guess I will start with posting my favourite poem I've done so far ^^

Night Rain

The sad tears piling up
falling down your cheek.
Why can't I cheer you up?
When I see you this weak.

Why am I feeling so sad?
I can't do anything for you,
this feeling drives me mad.
I don't want to be feeling so blue.

I want to wash your tears away
like the falling night rain.
You decided your way,
but it ended in pain.

I promise, Ill be there all time,
never leaving from your side.
Lets take shelter under this pine,
remembering how hard you tried.

The night now comes to an end
and the sun wakes up again.
I'm sitting next to my dear friend,
taking away all the pain.

I want to wash your tears away
like the falling night rain.
You decided your way,
but it ended in pain.

Watching the changing clouds
the tears stopped falling down.
Walking again on these roads
back to this sad, sad town.

I waving a last goodbye,
getting a smile in return.
Looking up at the blue sky
I feel my relieved heart burn.

I had washed your tears away
like the falling night rain.
You decided your way,
now it never ends in pain again.

Seeing the rainclouds blown away
a smile shows up in my face.
Looking up to a wonderful day
I walking with a fast pace.

I could cheer you up
that brightened up my day
Sipping from my coffee cup,
I hope you will never go astray.

I had washed your tears away
like the falling night rain.
You decided your way,
now it never ends in pain again.

Watching your bright smile
sharing the happy times
Waiting for the night rain
to wash our tears away
We will never go astray
and never feel this sad again
Feeling our friendships strong ties
and walking together mile and mile

Amazing! I normally have little interest in poems but this one definitely got my attention. Do you have any others you'd be comfortable sharing?

Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed it ^^

I have 3 more poems in English (one was for an adoptable, named Fu Setsu)
The other two are "Starry Sky" (The one I post now) and "Snowstorm"
Starry sky is a poem about our love for stars and snowstorm tells a little tale about being on a walk when a snow storm approaches and when you get back home and the dangerous beauty of it (or something like this xD)

Starry Sky

I'm sitting here and watch the sky,
counting all the stars above.
Looking up and thinking why
we so often think about love.

Is it the glimmering light?
Or even the mystique shine?
No answer ever will be right.
I can just tell you mine:

We love the stars so much
because they are our dreams.
And even if they are out of touch,
They're never be far away, it seems.

So we keep on standing here,
looking at the starry sky.
And that's just because were
wishing to spread our wings and fly

Flying up to the Stars.
Flying up to our Dreams.
Never remembering the scars
Never thinking about bad Dreams.

WRITING CONTEST RESULTS
I'm happy to announce that Canawlia is the winner of the realistic fiction writing contest

Canawlia, CoD me for 15,000g

everyone else who participated; I ask that you CoD me for the 300g

In most other competitions/contests I'll have 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places but since this was made when we just had around five members I didn't do that.

I will double check of who participated in this competition by the way
