...doing the conservation piece of the Patriotic Festival? I'll search for low price pets of the proper age, but then the ones I find are gorgeous, named, older than 1000 days, etc, and I'm just like...will the original owner get mad at me for releasing it? Why would anyone sell this wonderful pet for 10 gold? The poor thing...

I end up wanting to keep half of them instead. XD

I dont buy pets just to release them myself, and have a note on my profile requesting that people who DO buy my for sale ones DONT do so. People who do EXACTLY that recently bought all the ones I had in that tab and, of course, released them all, but I wasnt as upset about it as I thought I would be, oddly enough. I guess thats because it was for the event? *Shrugs*

Not particularly. But Ive been culling for various reasons on pet sites for a while. If you dont want the pet possibly released, dont sell to the general public. Make a thread with your sales so you can vet your buyers. Thats common practice on most pet sites.

I figured I didnt need to, seeing as Im not a member of the Sylesti Release group, like you are, and as I said, I put a note on my profile requesting that people only buy my For Sale pets if they intend to keep them. It seems like a natural thing for people who want to buy something from me, whether a pet or an item, to look at my profile first :/.

I price my for sale pets that way so theyre affordable for newer players who might be interested in them, no matter how many visible traits they have, what level theyre at, etc. So in all likelihood, if/when I do again end up with pets Ive chosen not to keep, thats unlikely to change.

I did say it didnt bother me so much in this case because it was for a site event.

I hate to do that, because Im a naturally trusting person, but maybe I should the next time Im getting close to having a full Stable (I only have one ATM, because I dont have real money to spend on diamonds.) :[. Ill think on it.

Just on the note on your profile point, when an event is going on, it would be my theory that most would search for pets using the Advanced Search and given people need to pick up so many pets (and then there's the effort of going through all the pet profiles to release) checking profiles would be the last thing on their minds.
