Lucky enough none of the rest of the chicks died over the night. The only one that i'm still scared for is our birchen cochen chick the only one of that breed left. It is very weak so all I can think to do is make it walk around. I don't know if any of you are christens but I would like to ask you to pray for it.

I will

Just don't exhaust it...

Maybe food, water, rest, and TLC?

I'm not going to exhaust it i'm just keeping it strong and giving it something to live for. The water it drinks on its own I don't know how to make it eat tho.

Please pray for the rest of them. We thought that the rest of the chicks were ok but two died this morning.

I got seven chicks last summer. They all made it and are big, happy girls now. I remember, though, I was constantly getting up in the middle of the night to check on them for about the first week. Make sure they're plenty warm enough - as in 80-85 degrees with a heat lamp. Watch to be sure no one's picking on each other; we have a little Silkie who was positively evil to our Mottled Java for a while, but they're playing nice now that they're older. Since so many of them are dying at once, try switching to medicated feed (if they're not on it already) in case it's a disease, and see if they're old enough to be vaccinated.

I'm truly sorry you're loosing your adorable lil peepers.
