I didn't know this was a thing even though I've been checking the forums since day 1 (11/10 5-star bestest observation skills).
Also, I still consider myself a newbie because I only played Sylestia for about a month or two after I created an account before I had to step away and take care of my life. I just came back to it, and I'm doing my best to catch up, but it's hard because 1) I'm over level 30, and 2) my account is over a year old.
1) I'm over level 30 by a fluke. I literally battle everything I come across, and spam until they're dead or my pets faint. I have no strategy whatsoever. I need help with this, if anyone is willing to attempt to teach me.
2) It sucks for me, because there's a lot of stuff going on in the forums for newbies that I can't partake in because I waited too long to get back into the game..

I've decided that I'm not gonna sit here and wallow in my own self-pity, and instead, I'll do stuff I didn't do the first time around, ie actually introduce myself like a normal human being.

So, hi! I'm River, and I'd like to make some friends. I'd also really love a pair of seraph wings or sunrise/frosted/polar night arctic nomad wings, but I think we all know that's not happening for me any time soon. Not until I've got about 140,000 gold. How do people make that much gold? I don't unDErStAnD.

You can get gold from missions, exploring, fests, selling pets, selling equiptment through green sell area, selling philters, jinxie's jam, games in the unofficial games thread, gold banks, and selling art.
just don't price ur pets too high, check what others are selling for in advanced search. Ignore 1g sales. ANd stats matter.
I do have avi items/pets if u want any (i need to clear out my hoard lol)

Missions,selling pets,contests and just wandering around zones
is how you get gold....

Yeah, I learned my lesson about the 1g sales. I went on a buying spree before I realized what they were, and I don't think I'll be doing that again. Not unless they miraculously have every trait I'm looking for as visible AND have decent stats to boot.

I think my problem is that I'm at a point in the game that's just too low for me to make much gold, which is a problem, especially when I need gold to unlock more missions in order to make more gold. I'm still on Garden of the Magnates (I think it's called).

Thankfully, I logged on before the winter fest ended, so I managed to get enough gold to buy a new stable slot, and I'm planning on doing art commissions once I have the program I use entirely figured out (I'm relatively new with shading and coloring on both digital and hand-drawn art. I'm so used to using pencil for everything that I need a little time to figure out how to).

Np! If you want nixis I've got a bunch that are always garenteed to get at least 3v, if not 4/5. (usually wings tho).

I don't tend to get the best luck when it comes to breeding, but I'm learning, and I'd love to get some fresh blood in here to avoid inbreeding.

If you've checked my stables and hatchery, you'll notice I'm obsessed with nixis, with a small side of lupes and a little of our friendly neighborhood ferrikis. I'm planning on breeding and selling ferriki eggs/hatchlings, along with some of my nixi eggs.

Scratch that-it should at laest be a 4vis, if not more-its got a 5vis mother and a 6vis father with a lot of matching traits (and hopefully no hidden ones!)

The zolnixi pupper is adorable, and no matter what traits it gets, I'll definitely be happy with the little 'un.

Honestly, I don't mind hidden traits all too much, unless they're traits I absolutely despise. This rarely happens, but sometimes I question why they designed a specific trait the way they did, and what happened to the ends of that one, and whoa I don't think that should go there ever on that sylesti ever, period.
Hidden traits add a little fun in breeding, it means there's the slightest chance that one of my sylestis might end up with a magic spell instead of armor or something else.
