"Oh." she said softly, watching the guard.

Azara growled at the guard and backed up.

Tara stepped up to the side of the scientist in a humanoid firm, though she was still covered in fur. She whispered something in the guard's ear, and he backhanded her, then stalked away. Warren ran to her side, trying to help her. Tara shakily shifted back to her lynx form, and stayed laying down, looking up at the deer. She said, "Please, stop. There are snipers trained on all of you. Please, don't make them fire. I don't want to have to get blood out of by fur."

Claw listened and heard talking, but didnt sound human. he growled, and nudged Shadow, then flicked his tail in the direction of the voices.

Fala
She watched Tara defend them, next to Alcove with fright.

Shadow
Shadow nodded, and disappeared among the shadows under the trees. She edged toward the gate, listening.

Tara and Warren
Warren edged toward Fala, and said, "Please, stay with us. We can't leave, and, if you leave, guess who gets the blame, followed shortly thereafter with a bullet. Tara and I. We were both subjects once. Each of you has a chip somewhere that, if you escape, it will immediately electrocute you. We have them, too. I'm begging you, please, stay."

Fala
What? I wasnt thinking about escaping, I thought this deer was getting scared by the scientists, so I was trying to catch up and calm her down. she said, standing up.

Warren
Gently, he asked, "And what do trapped, scared animals such as deer seek."
