I take a particular interest in the carvings of the animals and see if I can figure out what they are.

I pick up a small rock and toss is straight in the air before quickly covering my head. Then I look to see what path it landed closer to.

Upon closer inspection they look quite a lot like cats of some kind, just bigger and adorned with large wings. A wide variety of spots and stripes are featured across all of the creatures. Some colour might have been nice, it may help you identify the creatures.

Taking your hands away from your head you find that the rock you'd tossed now sits in the centre of the path to your right. You're not exactly sure how it made it that far over onto the path, maybe you were looking at the wrong rock... or maybe you don't know your own strength?

What should you do?

I shrug and decide to head down the path to my right. I keep an eye out for my Ny'vene and anything else of interest.

There are plenty of different sticks laying around, after all, you are in a forest. You pick up one of the sticks and prod at the blackberries. The thorned coils bend back as you poke at them, they definitely have mass and it doesn't look like they are illusions of any kind...

You slowly push some of the blackberries aside and take a few steps. You find that it would be difficult to get much further without injuring yourself accidentally.


I push forward, using the stick to mitigate as much damage as I can. As long as I'm not getting anything worse than minor surface scratches, I will push ahead four yards or so before analyzing my options.
