There doesn't appear to be any obvious path through or around the blackberries, however, there are small footprints leading from the path that you are on straight into the blackberries. kind of like someone just walked straight through them without a care in the world...
I stand staring at the brambles an contemplating my options. If trees can glow, why can't this be an illusion? I look for a fallen stick and jab at the brambles, if they're solid trying to hold them aside so I can walk forward. If there are no sticks laying around I'll use the handle of my axe.

(I don't know why I took so long to respond to this. Procrastination literally gets me nowhere.)
I stroke Marble's head, slightly intimidated by Amie's mother. "I really don't need anything..." I mumble quietly, glancing up at where Marble's looking. I straighten up quickly. "Actually, now that I think about it, do you know what Athya is, and how I can get there?" I say, remembering my conversation from Tammy Rose earlier.
After a second you find that you're still falling, further and further down into the endless white. You reach up to the stone hanging around your neck and desperately grab at it. You almost imminently stop falling. Breathing a sigh of relief you look around slowly. Amongst the endless white far below you a bright blue flame flickers...
You brush your hand slowly across the carvings, watching dirt and dust flake off the rough bark. There appears to be several small stick figures carved into the wood along with quite a few long curved lines that go way up into the branches. A few small carvings that appear to be of some sort of large winged animal line the bottom of the tree...
There are plenty of different sticks laying around, after all, you are in a forest. You pick up one of the sticks and prod at the blackberries. The thorned coils bend back as you poke at them, they definitely have mass and it doesn't look like they are illusions of any kind...
You slowly push some of the blackberries aside and take a few steps. You find that it would be difficult to get much further without injuring yourself accidentally.
