Seriously, Meteorite, again? Is Aurorus still there? If he is I'll ask him to find Meteorite for me.
You follow after him, climbing up the tree and ascending into the thick leaf coverage with ease. Aurorus squeaks every time he gets hit by small branches and leaves the wind off the thicker branches, eventually jumping off your shoulder, deciding to climb next to you. Meteorite seems to have completely disappeared... again.
What should you do?

I quickly look for a branch (idk) or a cliff ledge that I can grab onto. I also scream my head off.

I pull out my pocket knife and hide behind some corn to see where they're going.
Aurorus continues to hover at your side, a lot more interested in a rather large spider crawling on the bark than your question. A low hum fills the space around you, echoing about the enclosed space in a way that you wouldn't think possible. It almost sounded as if it were coming from within the tree itself. Aurorus doesn't seem the slightest bit worried as the tree begins to shake violently, he just continues swiping at the oversized arachnid.
The large creature nods slightly and raises one of its paws to point at a path far off into the distance. It seemed to be emitting a faint flickering orangeish light, a bit like a large contained fire.
"It'd be my pleasure to let you explore, but please take my advise and steer clear of that path. Nothing good can come of travelling along it."
With that, he bows his head and lowers his paw before disappearing a bright flash of light. Now alone with your companions, you could go one of three ways, back, forward or towards that path that he'd told you not to.
What should you do?
