He smiled slightly before closing the door, making sure it had been locked from the inside so no one would bother her, and heading to his own room.

The next morning, Skyler woke up groggily

Jackson was already awake and outside. He had finished his breakfast and was now heading over to take Knight out of the stables. His stall was towards the front, with a small sign hanging. On the sign was the name 'K N I G H T', with a small sketch of the knight chess piece beside it. "Good morning!"

Brooke and Maxwell were there as well. Maxwell was cleaning out some stalls while Brooke was also greeting Royale with a bright smile. "Hi girlie! Did you sleep well? Let's see if we can beat Belleza and General today in some type of competition, how about that?"

"Belleza would easily win over Royale and General. And Knight. And every other horse." Maxwell argued.

Logan was grooming General

Skyler rolled out of bed, and dragged herself to the cafeteria for breakfast

"So, Logan. Up to the challenge?" Brooke teased, placing a gentle kiss on Royale's forehead. "Or too scared?"

"The newbies aren't too bad." Jackson announced. "Skyler seems to be liking it a bit more after she met Storm."

He thought for a while, continuing to groom General. "Yeah. We're up for the challenge, aren't we boy?" General snorted and tossed his head up and down

Skyler had dragged her blanket with her and started eating breakfast

"It'll be way more than challenged against us!" Brooke decided as she led Royale to the tack room. Maxwell rolled his eyes.

"She just tells herself that for a confidence boost." Logan said to General. He nickered

Skyler finished breakfast and drug herself back up to her dorm to get dressed.
