so i just got some diamonds and i want to share some with a friend. how do i send them the diamonds?
Theres no COD fee for diamonds, only gold. i cant use the currency exchange cause that is open to anybody.

You do have to use the currency exchange, but there's a way of doing it so that no one else will snag them up.

(I'll use 100 dias as an example number, but of course it works with any amount)

Your friend, who will receive the diamonds, will need to set up an exchange. S/he will sell 1g for 100 dias.

You, who holds the diamonds right now, will accept the exchange. You will give up 100 dias and receive 1g.

The reason this works is 'cos nobody outside of that exchange will want to give someone else diamonds for nothing in return.

The receiver absolutely /has/ to be the one who sets up the exchange. If you set up an exchange selling diamonds for 1g, there's a good chance someone else will swoop in and take the free dias. But by having the receiver sell 1g for them, you eliminate the chance that someone else will /want/ to take the exchange.

This is really embarrassing, but I see the word "COD" a lot. What is it, how do I use it, and how do I send gold to someone else as a gift?

CoD stands for... "Cost on Delivery"? Something like that.

If you click on an item in your inventory, you can then click on the little envelope in the row of icons just under the inventory box. You can then enter a user name and a gold cost. It'll be sent to that person's trades, and the person won't be able to accept the trade without paying the fee.

To gift someone gold, that person would have to send you a CoD to accept.

If you're selling an item directly, of course you'd just sell that item. If you're getting gold for something else, thoguh (e.g. opened catalysts, which can't have CoDs attached to them), a lot of people will use a single Fairy Mushroom as the CoD item.
