Hello all!
(If I pinged you, it's because you were a member of the "Project Newbie" thread from a couple years back.)
Anyway.
I am going to attempt to bring back "Project Newbie." However, before I invest my own time and resources for this project, I'd like to know who's interested in receiving free pets.
If you think you would want free pets, please ping me! I want to know that the organization will actually be wanted/needed. If you are only interested in receiving the pets, you do not have to read beyond this point.
For potential helpers:
Basically, the point of this organization is to give free pets to the new players of Sylestia. My definition of a new player is either someone who's been on here for less than a year or is under level 30. Thus! This is an extreme undertaking and I can't do it by myself.
The plan
As aforementioned, the goal is to give free pets to newbies. What I'm going to do is buy a new stable and title it "Free Pets." This stable will be specifically for this club.
What I need?
>Pets, for one! Any species--PB's, 6vis, etc. We need pets to run a free pet organization! If you think you may be interested in donating pets, please ping me! (This is not binding; if you reply to this and change your mind later down the line, that's perfectly fine!)
>Stable space. Oooookay. This is going to be the biggest challenge. I don't own thirty stables, I'm not sure if one stable will cut it or not. If you have a lot of extra stable space and are willing to house free pets, please, please, please ping me! ( Again, this is not binding; if you reply to this and change your mind later down the line, that's perfectly fine!)
*What this entails? I'm going to be honest--it's more work than donating pets. You'll be in charge of pricing the pets and setting them up for the newbies.
*What if I start to do it but I can't continue? That's also fine! I understand that sometimes it can be overwhelming or real life matters become pressing. Don't worry about it--if at any time you need to just take a break or drop out, don't feel guilty or obligated to push yourself. If you need a break, that's fine. If you decide to stop, that's also fine: just make sure to give away the pets to someone who can house them. :3
*Can I be a pet houser and a donor? Of course! However, if you choose to do this, then please have at least one tab solely for the purpose of housing pets!
The Nitty Gritty Details
I'm still not 100% sure on how I'd run this, but here's my working plan. (if you have better ideas, please let me know)
I'd create a thread for this service, and maintain a list of pets within my stables and everyone else's. Each pet image will be linked to the pet's profile. And if a newbie wishes to receive a pet, they'd ping me(and/or the stable owner of the pet they're interested in). Under each stable, I'll sort the pets based on VIS, THEMED and SPECIES.
*What makes a member a member? Stable space! If you house the pets, then you are a member! If you donate pets, then you are a donor! Remember!! Being a member would take a bit of commitment, as you'd be giving away the pets in your stable to newbies.
*Donors! If you choose to donate the pets to this organization, you would ping me. I'll then assign you a pet houser. You'll sell the pets to them to keep in their stable. Or, if you have at least 20 pets that you are willing to donate, you may keep them in your stables, as long as one tab is dedicated to free pets.
***Am I a member if I only house my own pets? This is a tough one. I still haven't decided yet. :) I'm leaning towards if you give XX number of pets, then, yes.
Lastly, if you're at all interested in helping or receiving, please ping me! The more interest that is shown, the more likely I am to start the organization!
At the top of your ping, please write
BENEFACTOR: if you're interested in receiving pets
MEMBER: if you think you may be interested in housing pets
DONOR: if you think you may be interested in donating pets.

Id be interested in helping ^^ I have a couple free tabs but I wouldnt mind using them, and I have plenty of pets to donate :)

I would love to donate peta, and I can keep my pets until they are taken, but I dont think I have the stable space for others.

Hi! I'm stuck in the Umbra woods area, and my pet s are leveling up sooo slow! Do you have a level 35 pet you could trade me? This is my stable, chose any pet! https://www.sylestia.com/stables/. Maybe except Firetail or Lionclaw. I'm trying to breed them.
