He just gives you a bored look, then walks away. You can see him watching you from the corner of his eye, but he seems not to mind what you do, within reason.

Velos gave a nod and offered his hand to the foal to smell, before running it's neck and muzzle if he got permission.

You hand him the 78 coins. He squints as he counts them carefully, then says, "The ruins is a long way away, so make sure you have enough food, or know where to find it. There's a lot of stuff you can find there, so leave some empty space in your backpack too," he pauses, "you were talking earlier about jobs 'n errands, right? If you wouldn't mind, could you do something quick for me?"

He smells your hand curiously, nipping at your fingers. As you move your hand to pet him, he jerks away and makes an off grumbly-squealy sound.

Velos froze in spot and started, keeping eye contact, before slowly reaching his hand out again, then waited for the foal to approach him, if he didn't, he would simply stand back and rest until the herd started moving.

"What's that job you mentioned?"
