The noise seems to frighten the small creature even more. You only get a small glimpse of it before it runs out of sight. Turns out it's a young rabbit - seeing it makes you wonder how many different animals live here besides horses.

You continue to look in the bushes surrounding the one that held the rabbit. Unfortunately, you don't find anything, though you do scrape your arm on a thorny bush. The scrape stings, but it is shallow and will heal on it's own.

Upon closer inspection of the thorny bush, you notice that there are a few berries closer to the middle. The animals must not have gotten to it because of the thorns.

I decide to head to the stables to check on them, just to make sure they are in good shape and nothing is missing. The hour trek would be nice anyway, I can map out the area a little bit.

The trek to the stables was rather uneventful, but you did notice a river within sight of the stables. You take note of that, figuring it would be quite useful. The stables itself are as expected. They appear to be newly built and have pastures large enough to fit the same amount of horses as there are stalls, 10. The hay you ordered has been placed accordingly, as has the bedding and tools. The only thing that stands out to you is the the empty tackroom - well, that and the empty stalls.

You reach your hand into the bush, picking what you can without hurting yourself. Upon closer inspection, you realize that they are raspberries and safe to eat. They will make a nice snack.

You have gained an item: handful of raspberries x1!

I'm happily surprised to find the river and will definitely be checking it out for a swim at some point but for now, I think about that empty tack room and figure I should get some basic tack in case I find some horses soon. I decide to head to the tack store to get some supplies so I won't be unprepared if I find a horse.
