Gavin spent his time, wading clear of shore before pushing into the water's flow. He watched as Vitanie, Brute and Queenie made there way back by land. Overall their separating this way worked for the best. The guard WOULD be looking for three adventurers, but one having hooves. Plus they wouldn't have thr fresh musk of ferrikki so close to them to smell so fresh. He just hoped they would remember to mask the transferred smells from their pelts.

The slow wading was also good to give Midnight the time to settle herself and wrap the kelp armor about her limbs so she wouldn't fall off. Hopefully they could find a good way to disguise the ferrikki better before they made berth.

"Don'che go gattin' tew lezy en me lass. Bes' keep un eye open whislst ye slaep, fette'bum." He suggested to Midnight.

Iria looked up at the old windmill. Most of the guild found it creepy or mysterious but Iria found either peace or old memories in it's old crumbling bricks. For when she was little she would come up here with her brother and play. She knew every nook and cranny of it. She stopped coming there when she was 13, after her brothers death. He was 7 years older than her and died serving the same guild she serves now. On some nights she calls upon his spirit and talks to him, but it's never quite the same as when he was alive. His death was one of the reasons she became a shadow mage.

Midnight nodded a little. She slept but kept herself on mild alert ready to wake up in any moment. She didn't dream but laid there peacefully. She was alert to everything she could hear but still rested up. She moved a little.

In virtually no time Gavin and Midnight were upon the wharf, here there were plenty of shadows for Queenie's shadow beasts to hide themselves and attack interlopers from virtually any direction. The first pier to dock was, of course, their destination. It is called 'The landing' by the locals, where wayfareres from the sea and porting from other countries enter Horologium, and pay docking fees, or more often, city entry fair for sea-dwellers visiting. As a guilder, he wasn't obligated to pay that fee, however, service fees were expected for using the landing pier. Naturally, gavin kept a small money pouch for just such a purpose and was prepared to use it for merchant's fee.

"Time fur oos ta start actin' lass." Gavin spoke calmly back to Midnight as they prepared to hop onto the slip and meet the border guard for inspection and fees.

Midnight immediately jutted awake. She was on alert. She looked around then relaxed a little. She yawned and stretched. "Okay. Thanks for waking me up." She said. She smiled.

Iria sensed something in air. She quietly summoned her strongest shadow beast, a giant alpha male Ny'vene, to stand guard in the shadows then she sent some little shadow Luffoxes to scour the area. After a few moment one of her Luffs came dashing back. There is an intruder watching you m'lady.

"Brute there's someone or something watching us nearby! Group up and stay alert!" Iria called out hurriedly as as she ordered her Ny'vene to attack at the slightest disturbance.
