Its come to my attention recently that some people are struggling to get there heads around RPGs when signing up and are begin really disrespectful, so here's a guide for those playing and those narrating.
Please don't ask this to be moved to the Guide section, it is unrelated to Sylestia.
This will view common mistakes make by both narrators and players. it is recommended you try to avoid them. Something to look over is your responses, especially if someone big in RPGs if telling you "stop" or giving you advice. They've been in longer than you.

Players
Dear players,
Your narrators work hard so here are a few things you can do to help them out. They're human too - not some automated bot that sends replies immediately and knows everything. We'll cover usual situations and basic rules you should always follow here.
Grapes a great player we're just editing some of her messages for this
Rules
First a foremost, if you can, copy and paste the last message the narrator gave you into your reply. This way the narrator knows what just happened and can keep track of the story easier. They may be narrator several others and other RPGs. if you can't, use the quote button but remember to type their name into the ping bar, or they won't see it.
Always be polite to your narrator, they can get stressed out. Instead of shouting at them, give them a tentative poke about something they may have forgotten to add. If your profile isn't finished, the narrator may've been busy or got bored and will complete it later.
Have you lost your ping? Never ever blame the narrator. if you pinged us, we'll reply. I can not say it more clear: the narrator will reply. If you maybe forgot to ping, give them a ping in the next post. If they've replied to everyone else and not you by accident, don't laze around. Quote your reply and ping them again so they see it. If you can't find it, send them a polite message as soon as possible.
It is the players responsibility, not the narrators.
*sighs* I guess I need to put this in.. when you sign up for an RPG, you get to make choices. it may be open end, it may be not. if you ask the narrator politely, they will make it open ended for you if you can't think of an answer. It may seem like it, but small things such as "I could feel the wind" may make the narrator frustrated. If they have not said you can feel the wind, you can not feel the wind. Wind makes a difference to hunting, it isn't something you can just throw about. It goes the same when crossing things don't say "I crossed the brook" say "she looked for a way to cross the brook" before, so we can confirm there isn't a crocodile you may want to avoid. You can not find things yourself. The narrator is your eyes. We are your senses.
Put effort into your responses. It may be easy just to say "okay" and laze around and laze around, waiting fro the narrator to create drama for you. No, no, no. Get off your lazy fingers and write a decent response. It isn't hard to expand your reply a few lines by adding details like thoughts, things the narrator has mentioned you can see, flicking your hair. Also.. grammar. it doesn't need to be perfect but at least try not to have too many spelling mistakes. Go back and edit it if you have 30548 typos.
These are only basic rules that appear in every RPG. Make sure you do read all the individual ones on the RPG as they will have a sense of the stories flow. I was in one that didn't allow you to say the word "shoe". Definitely saw a few people make that mistake. Oh, and, keep your eye out for the narrators secret.. You should really read the whole page. They usually have 1-4 reserved.
I walk into the cave and to my surprise freeze as I notice a small wolf pup lying on the ground. It looks abandoned.
Finding something just this is wrong as the narrator didn't give you permission to. Although you may be thinking "well it can't really help her plot advancement so it's okay" that doesn't matter.
You find a couple strewn out across the nearby forest floor.
I grab one and test it's bendiness
Although this isn't a perfect example, if the person kept on looking along the sticks for ages, they are obviously waiting for me to do something interesting and create drama. No. get your dog and walk off to find drama.
You couldn't see anything immediately
She turned and walked away
I said immediately, you would've found something if you looked more closely.

Narrators
Rules
First of all, stop being so scared. it's better not to have any players than a really bad player that didn't fill in the form correctly at all. Make sure to insert a secret rule and don't give mercy.
That being said, sometimes things can be a mistake or forgetful. Make sure to give them a chance and don't just get mad immediately unless they're irritable multiple times, even try try to keep your cool. You're a narrator, you really shouldn't involve your personal life or emotions and take it out on your players. Even if there are a few constantly irritating ones.
Try to finish your reserves and keep them up to date, as well as making your lay out clear. Don't leave them hanging and try to finish everything quickly. This way you don't make it hard for your players by switching things around.
Revamping is important along with the last point - keep up with the latest RPG formats we're using as they're updated for a reason, making it easier. Adding quick links to each post so they don't have to skim through every page is good.
Skills - they're important to RPGs. Don't be afraid. if your person has no balance skill, don't let them level up their attack skill, or they'll be knocked over. Also don't just let them beat something they don't have the skills for because they're too lazy. Also, don't let them just skip levels. If necessary, try to get them to describe the training session.
