I dart forward, quarterstaff raised as i do my best to bringing it crashing over the rider's head in an attempt to disorient and stop them

The riders chariot was too high for you to properly reach, they easily moved out of the way. Ben was caught off guard and Alisha rolled out of the way, catching Bens arm with a bullet, but her hand looked burnt and black, possibly damaged by the lightning of the chariot that narrowly missed her.

The movement of two of you reaching for Ben caused Alisha to jump backwards, not wanting to get caught in the blast. You two are both close enough for close combat fighting. Matt has received a minor injury to the torso from the collision, while Ben has been knocked rolling out of the way of you two. he steadily got to his feet, but he was ginger on one of his legs.
