Mat tries to look through the hay and succeeds to an extent, seeing bits of what was happening outside through the strands of hay. Turns out the knights and woman had fallen silent, not moving around, and all they did was turn their heads to look around, as if looking for something. Or waiting for something.

I continue being silent and motionless, thinking good thoughts and breathing quietly. I look through the hay as well, keeping my eye on the woman and knights.

I keep silent and freeze, not moving the slightest bit if I can. I know any movement now will appear like a bright light in the stillness. I try to listen or figure out what there waiting for, wondering if any of the other cells have voices in them

There is nothing greater than if you can make it to the end of this little 'Game'. The woman laughed lightly. That will be enough of worth to me that indicates I did not make the wrong choice saving you. She made a shooing motion. Time moves, April. Continue on your journey.

Your Watcher giggled a little, picked up Diana, and flounced out the kitchen. The lady looked more at ease when your Watcher left.

April dipped her head one final time at the lady and took in her features. She took a few steps towards the exit and put her hand in the door before looking over her shoulder with a small smile, "May I ask.. what are you?" her voice wavered, but there was a sense of confidence in the question.

As if by some silent message, the knights spread out in teams of two, each of them heading to a cell. They start checking the cells six at once, which means the next cell they check will be yours.

What I am... She smiled mysteriously. I am a simple Guardian with a simple purpose. Her voice turned gentle. Go, April. Remember that you cannot rely on anyone in this world - you must be independent.

April bit the side of her cheek and gave a nod, before leaving the house after her watcher. She decided not to look back; that would only make her nerves worse and make it harder to go. She tilted her head down, looking down at the ground and avoiding eye contact with her watcher.

Your Watcher was giggling happily, squeezing Diana to her chest as Diana also chattered happily. They'd already gone some distance into the woods and you struggled a bit to catch up, but you caught up in the end. After some time of travelling, you and the group crossed a small stream, when a soft singing sound floated to your ear.

April looked up at the roof of the trees, stretching her hand up and trying to grab some leaves that she could wrinkled and tear apart between her fingers to help her deal with stress. She was content to stay with the soft sounds of nature, but doubted it would last long. Instead, she ran her fingers through the water as she listened to the song.

When you bent down to run your fingers through the water, you saw a silvery school of fish swarm around your hand, bumping up against it and making you feel a bit ticklish at their chilly touch. To your surprise, you discover that the singing sound came from the fish.

April smiled softly as she watched them, trying to stroke the scales of one with her finger, "May we follow the fish?" she asked in a soft voice with a dusky tone as she watched them. The singing was beautiful to her ears. She anted to see where they would lead, it seemed like a mountain Tail to her.
