Arcana's Star

Your head hurts, and it hurts a lot. Your eyes are closed, and you feel like the very movement of opening them might be the end of your life.
Heh, heh, heh... Welcome, young one.
The voice floats through an air laced thick with tension, and there is a ringing in your head as your head fills with static white noise.
You guys are the last of this round... will you die, or will you survive? We'll see, heh, heh, heh...
And if you manage to find the Arcana's Star, your chances of survival will skyrocket... Oops, I've said too much, heh, see ya!

A light flashes before your eyes, and you feel the pain in your head subside down to a manageable level. What was going on?

What is going on, player? Your story is yours to discover

"Hey! Wake up!" A voice rocks you awake. Had you fainted some time earlier? "The Lord requests you!"


Rules
- No powerplaying (we all know what that means)
- Narrator's word is law
- You can die, and you will die, unless you are the one person who makes it out of this hunger-game style game
- Oh yeah, and you need to say I did not ask you to put this line somewhere in your form
- Bold/quote! If you fail to do this for 3 times, you're out
- You'll be kicked if you're inactive for 10 days without telling me
- I forgot to say this earlier, but say you haven't read the rules in your form
- Your characters must be human, or partially human/hybrid. No animals
- I control things you see and what others do, you control what you do
- Oh, and to prove you really read the rules, put your characters favorite food somewhere in your form
- Whatever you do make it within the realm of possibility
- Narrator is going to pop up in this game as a character and may do things that may either help or hurt you, so be careful, any character could be the narrator :3
- Stay true to your characters personality, likes, dislikes, and fear(s)

Info
This is an advanced roleplay. Please try to do three lines per post (two lines if you HAVE to, but definitely not one line). Can't make three lines? Write in all of your characters thoughts! I will be much more descriptive (descriptiveness will kind of depend on your level of perception) in this roleplay than I am in my Fate roleplay.
This is hunger-games style! In the end, everybody will be facing off in a huge fight, so hone your skills accordingly! Yes, this means that there will only be one survivor.
Also, there are going to be riddles and puzzles. Get your calculators and computers out, because there will be a bit of math, and a bit of computer science related things like binary. Nothing too hard though.
Try to find the Arcana's Star, like the voice said in the beginning!

Magics

Hard magic

Blood magic
- This type of magic draws from the users own blood, meaning the user must be bleeding in order to use it, wether the wound is self-inflicted or not, there must be your own blood to use this. You can make very strong weapons out of your blood, but using too much of this magic at one time can cause blood loss, which will then cause you to faint. You can heal injuries on yourself using this blood magic. However, this magic is not good at defense, and can only be used for close range attack (because if you make a blood shuriken and throw it; it probably wont come back. You loose blood).
- Quick synopsis:
- Basic: Form small weapons (Daggers/ninja stars) out of your blood
- Medium: Form larger weapons (Swords, maces) out of your blood, can self-heal small cuts
- Advanced: Form multiple weapons at once, can self-heal larger cuts
- High level user: Form flexible weapons and advanced weapons (whips, special type of swords) and can control these weapons through telekineses/telepathy, can self heal medium sized wounds, immune to bleeding out and virtually cannot die through bleeding wounds

Astral magic
- This magic draws from the power of the stars, and the energy from the stars are stored in your body. This way, you can cast bolts at people. The energy can also be solidified to create small shields. One cant use too much of this magic at a time, or else the energy from the galactic bodies above will destroy your body, and it will be very messy. This magic cant be used for close range combat unless you want to burn yourself up as well as your enemies with the bolts. This magic cannot heal.
- Quick synopsis:
- Basic: Small flashes of lights that blind the enemy
- Medium: Small bolts that can be cast to explode the enemy
- Advanced: Large bolts that can destroy stone, large flashes of light that blind multiple enemies
- High level user: Can directly call down a blast of energy from space, can stand sizeable explosions with no damage done


Medium magic

Light & Dark magic
- This magic mostly plays around with reflections and light, and you are able to bend light to your will, creating illusions that are not solid. This is done by using your light and reflecting whatever you want to where you are. You can also surround your enemies in shadows, making them unable to see and bring their worst nightmare into reality with your illusions. Using a magic magnifying amulet, you can make small illusions solid. You can travel faster than many others. This magic does little for defense and nothing for healing. Using too much at a time can cause you to go insane.
- Quick synopsis:
- Basic: Small illusions, blind the enemy with light
- Medium: Larger illusions, solidify small illusions with a magic magnifying amulet
- Advanced: See things far away/scrying, trap enemy in a vortex of shadow to make them see their worst nightmare
- High level user: Using a magic magnifying amulet, you can make the enemy's worst nightmare solid, can make multiple medium sized illusions at once, can see/sense in the dark pretty well

Emotions magic
- This magics type can change from attack, to defense, to healing, depending on the users emotions. Emotions are divided into three groups; positive, negative, or neutral. There is a fourth group, and the fourth group creates very strong magic, but Emotions magic users are not encouraged to use it due to reasons that you will discover later. Negative emotions are used for the attack, with the more strong the emotion, the more strong the attack. The attack draws upon energy from your emotions to create blasts of energy where youre aiming. The positive emotions are used to create defense, drawing on your emotions to create a barrier. Neutral emotions are used for healing, although Emotions magic healing can only go as far as broken bones and medium sized bleeding wounds. Too much use of this magic can cause one to go insane.
- Quick synopsis:
- Basic: Small blasts of energy
- Medium: Medium blasts of energy, small barrier
- Advanced: Large blasts of energy, medium barrier, can heal medium size bleeding wounds
- High level user: Huge explosions, large barrier, can heal broken bones


Easy magic

Water magic
- This magic is really good at support and keeping your attackers a distance away from you. Water magic users can only use this if theres water nearby (like rivers and lakes and oceans and whatever), so most water users carry around a pouch of water for times without water and a magic magnifying amulet (cuz you cant really do anything with a bottle of water, can you?). Water magic users also can freeze and unfreeze their water at will, although ice cant be used to attack because you cant make ice move like you can make water move. Since poisons are liquid too, you have an affinity with them, and you can somewhat control poisons like you do with water. Also, you have the ability to heal poisons, major wounds and mental problems; high level users of this magic can bring people back from the dead. This type of magic cant be used for direct attack, but can be used indirectly (i.e. poison). Using too much of this will cause the user to become severely dehydrated.
- Quick synopsis:
- Basic: Control water to hold back enemies
- Medium: Can freeze water at will, has little control over poisons, can heal most wounds
- Advanced: Can freeze and unfreeze water at will, has some control over poisons, can purify poisons and cure mental illnesses
- High level user: Can make ice move by rapidly melting and refreezing the water in it, can resurrect the dead, can breath underwater for an extended period of time

Air magic
- You can form blades of air and use them to cut up your enemies, and this type of magic is done by manipulating the airspace around you. You have an affinity with the clouds and can control thunder, but to an extent. You can only create small bolts of thunder to rain down onto your enemies. You can also trap your enemies in a swirling vortex which stops their movement. Since this magic first uses the air around you, too much use will draw away all the air around your body and you will asphyxiate. Air does very little for defense, because it cant do anything really except for blow people around, and this magic cannot heal.
- Quick synopsis:
- Basic: Push enemies back with air, create useless thunderclouds
- Medium: Attack enemies with small blades of air, call down thunder but cant control where it lands
- Advanced: Attack enemies with large blades of air, call down and control where lightning strikes
- High level user: Can "fly" by using wind, can trap enemies in a swirling vortex of wind

Fire magic
- You can control the flame, and you carry around a flint and steel for you to start sparks so you can use the fire. The you can create fireballs and raise bursts of fire off the ground, and also making bolts of fire that you can shoot around, and where the bolt lands, that place will burst into a patch of flames. Higher level users of the fire element can create infernos with the flick of a finger, and quite literarily make it rain fire. Fire is a far range attack, you can use it for close range, but at the risk of burning yourself. Fire has a healing property where you can burn the poison out of anothers system, but you must first use a cut into the bloodstream of the patient to send your fire in; and afterwards, the cut will remain as a scar. Inexperienced users attempting to use fire to burn out poison may result in the death of the patient. Using too much at a time will cause one to get a heatstroke, and possibly die. Fire magic is not suggested for close range, and it can do little for defense.
- Quick synopsis:
- Basic: Create small fireballs that you can throw
- Medium: Create medium sized fireballs that you can throw, can shoot bolts of fire to raise flames somewhere
- Advanced: Create large sized fireballs, can make it rain fire
- High level user: Won't get burned, can create infernos to continuously burn enemies

Earth magic
- You have a very close connection to the earth, and you can raise shields and convince plants to help you. Since you are with the earth, you can also summon pieces of metal for later use, and you can even extract gemstones, but extracting anything from the earth takes a lot of energy and also a high level of knowledge for this magic. A very high level user of this magic can also mould things out of metal and stone directly for later use, as opposed to the lower level of extracting metals and stones and giving them to someone to mould. This magic cannot attack nor heal, but its a very strong defense. Using too much at a time will tire you out a lot, and you will faint, and even worse, you might die.
- Quick synopsis:
- Basic: Can create a small shield, can communicate a bit using plants
- Medium: Can create a medium shield, can communicate with plants, can summon non-dense small pieces of metal
- Advanced: Can make a large shield, can summon any metal/gemstone, can control the land around you to an extent
- High level user: Can summon metal out of the earth and mould it into a weapon or a impenetrable shield, can track anything that is on the Earth within a very large range.

There are lost types of magic, but that will be for you to discover!

Lost magic

Soul magic
- You have a connection to anything with a soul, and you have quite some control over them. You can tell if someone is dead, alive, or suffering from something. This magic can control another persons mind through the soul, making them do your bidding, or just simply make them cooperate with you. You have the power to sense lies through someones soul, and sometimes can see clouds of colour hovering over ones soul flame, giving you insight on their emotions, the different colours of the clouds being their emotions. You can attack, defend, and heal using the power of souls. You can draw on the power of nearby souls to summon spirit animals who will help you, or you can summon special weapons using your own souls power. For defense, you can connect to the souls of the enemies and control them, halting the attack and therefore freezing them in their tracks. You can heal anything mental and medium physical wounds, and you can converse with the souls of the deceased as you call them back. High level users can directly send a persons soul into the afterlife, and they can mess with a persons soul, persona, and change their personality, thoughts, and beliefs. This magic is good for all-around use, and using to much will not have much negative effect on the user, except that every time they summon spirit animals or a spirit weapon, it will require a tiny bit of the users soul to work.
- Quick synopsis:
- Basic: Can see where anything is, by seeing the opponents soul flame, can tell if the soul is alive, dead, or suffering from something. You can summon small spirit weapons such as daggers or throwing knives
- Medium: Can see someones emotions faintly through coloured clouds, can tell if someones lying. You can summon small spirit animals and large spirit weapons such as swords, maces, and katanas, can heal minor mental illnesses and tiny wounds, can defend by momentarily controlling someones soul
- Advanced: Can summon the deceaseds souls to answer questions, can summon large spirit animals and can summon and control large spirit weapons through telekinesis, can heal mental illnesses and close medium wounds, can control someones soul and make them do your bidding or whatever
- High level user: Can mess with someones soul, therefore changing the persons thoughts, behaviors, beliefs, and personality, and you can also directly send someones soul into the afterlife. If you die, you can choose a small amulet or trinket that part of your soul will reside in. Whoever has the trinket, you can provide them with assistance even though your physical body is dead

Skills
You can gain levels by using the skill a lot! Notice that the skills go only to level 10, but you will meet others with levels higher than 10. However, that doesnt mean you cant defeat someone higher level than you. More skills will be added later!

Attack
Level 1: Can hold a weapon (*claps*) and hit something with it, provided target isnt moving and has no skills at all, and is right in front of you
Level 2: Can do a little tad bit of damage
Level 3: Understands and can do basic attack moves, can kill/hunt smaller animals
Level 4: Understands but cant do medium attack moves, can kill/hunt medium animals, can use a bow rather well to kill small/medium things in a close range
Level 5: Can do medium attack moves, and hurt larger animals
Level 6: Understands but cant do complex attack moves, and can kill/hunt larger animals. can use a bow very well to kill small/medium things in a medium range
Level 7: Can do complex attack moves, can break through some defenses, can do hand-to-hand combat rather well
Level 8: Can hurt mythical animals, can do hand-to-hand combat really well, can use a bow rather well to kill small/medium/large things in a far range
Level 9: Can take down mythical animals, can fight/shoot a bow well under abnormal battlefield circumstances (underwater, sludge, etc)
Level 10: Can defeat anything within reason, can use a bow with multiple arrows (2-5) to shoot anything within reason

Defense
Level 1: Can hold a defensive item (*Whoohoo!*) and attempt to block something with it
Level 2: Can defend against a tad bit of damage
Level 3: Understands and can do basic defensive manoeuvres, can defend against smaller animals/attacks
Level 4: Can defend somewhat okay against medium animals/attacks and small magic attacks
Level 5: Can defend really well against medium animals/attacks and small magic attacks, can defend okay against arrows
Level 6: Can defend somewhat okay against large animals/attacks and medium magic attacks, can defend well against arrows
Level 7: Understands and can do advanced defensive manoeuvres, can defend really well against large animals/attacks and medium magic attacks
Level 8: Can defend somewhat well against large magic attacks, arrows now not really a problem, but still pose a tiny threat, can defend okay against mythical animal attacks
Level 9: Can defend very good against mythical animal attacks and large magic attacks, can defend in abnormal battlefield circumstances (underwater, quicksand, etc)
Level 10: Can defend against anything within reason

Intelligence
Level 1: Understands very basic concepts (*Yay!*) can identify everyday things, and very obvious magic
Level 2: Can lie okay, can trick very few people, can recognise common animals and few uncommon animals
Level 3: Can take a guess fairly well at what will happen next (i.e. Two hotheaded people are together. One insults the other. What happens?)
Level 4: Can lie pretty well, can trick some people, can see if you are being lied to/tricked
Level 5: Can pick basic/small locks, can make small traps
Level 6: Can take a very good guess on what will happen next, can notice weaknesses and disadvantages on the battlefield
Level 7: Can lie very good and trick most people, can pick medium/intermediate locks, can make medium complexity traps
Level 8: Can reprogram some technology and manipulate very few people
Level 9: Can pick a complex/large lock, can make complex traps
Level 10: Can hack, can completely reprogram most technology, can break locks, the riddles/puzzles I give you will be easier

Crafting
Level 1: Can make a fire, can make crude tools
Level 2: Can make okay tools, can set up an okay shelter
Level 3: Can make crude weapons, can make a pretty good shelter
Level 4: Can sew and make basic clothes, can carve wood
Level 5: Can make okay weapons and good tools, can make a shelter that withstands heavy rain
Level 6: Can make a basic lock, can carve complexly on wood, can make clothes with medium difficulty design and sewing patterns
Level 7: Can take a piece of metal and mould it into something okay
Level 8: Can make a medium lock and make complex clothes with intricate sewing designs
Level 9: Can create technology and program it, can create robots
Level 10: Can make anything within reason

Medical
Level 1: Can identify basic herbs and medicines, can use band-aids
Level 2: Can use basic herbs and medicines, can deal with small infections
Level 3: Can identify edible stuff, can tell if a few plants are poisonous or not
Level 4: Can identify medium herbs and medicines, can make an okay split
Level 5: Can use medium herbs, can cure choking, can deal with medium infections
Level 6: Can make a good split and cast, can identify if some plants are poisonous or not
Level 7: Can identify advanced herbs and medicines, can deal with small mental problems
Level 8: Can use advanced herbs and medicines, can identify is most plants are poisonous or not
Level 9: Can deal with large infections, large wounds, and can stop blood loss
Level 10: Can bring people back from borderline dead and can purify water/banish demons

Magic
Level 1: Knows what type of magic you can use
Level 2: Can sense when your type of magic is present
Level 3: Can make small bursts of your magic type
Level 4: Can control basic spells of your magic type
Level 5: Can make medium, quite dangerous bursts of your magic type
Level 6: Can control the medium spells of your magic type
Level 7: Can control your element to send messages/signals
Level 8: Can make large, very dangerous bursts of your magic type
Level 9: Can control the advanced spells of your magic type
Level 10: Can use level 3 of another type of magic, can be considered a high level magic user of your type

Perception
- Can be leveled up to level 10. The higher level perception you have, the more descriptive I get and the more you will see around you. Perception can be leveled up by being observative, and aware of your surroundings.

Accuracy
- Can be leveled up to level 10. For every level, your accuracy improves by 9%. Accuracy can be leveled up by practicing things that need accuracy, such as using a bow.

Agility
- Can be leveled up to level 10. The higher level you are, the more hits you are able to dodge. For every level, your avoidance change increases by 6%. Can be leveled up by doing things like parkour and stuff that needs agility

Speed
- Can be leveled up to level 10. The higher level you are, the faster you can move and have a chance of going first. For every level, your speed levels up by 4%. Can be leveled up by running around, doing speed-related things.

Tracking
- Can be leveled up to level 10. The higher level you are, the more tracks you can identify and track successfully. For every level, your tracking success probability goes up by 6%. Can be leveled up by tracking stuff.

Information on the Magics - Jan 10, 2018
So! I've been asked if you can change your magic type. The answer is, yes, you may! However, you can only change it once, so choose wisely if you are going to change your type of magic.
A new type of magic has been added, and it is classified as a Lost Magic! Before, we haven't got any Lost Magics on the Magics list, but now there is one: Soul Magic! Information on Lost magics will have to be discovered throughout the games, so enjoy what we have so far! ;P
