I really want to hatch my egg but I dont know how exactly.

It has something to do with clicking on it I think but I dont have friends lol

so normally an egg takes three days to hatch, to make this go faster you can "nurture" your egg. so if you click it's picture a new page should pop up. above the egg it should say something like "your egg is warm" or "your egg is cool" below the egg are four options "cool the egg" "Warm the egg" "Polish the egg" "turn the egg" if you click the correct one it will speed up your eggs hatching. friends have the option of nurturing your eggs for you as well. You can only nurture each egg once per day.

Post your eggies and babies in there and you should get some nurtures. Be sure to help nurture other peoples' stuff too! In doing this you earn scales for yourself to use in that scale shop, and every time you nurture a pet you have a chance of receiving an essence of the species of sylesti you just nurtured. Essences can be used to generate a pet with a some traits you might want for breeding projects~

so literally all you have to do is get people to click? Awesome! I just got an egg from the first real quest and I didnt know how to hatch. This place seems pretty unactive though.

Eggs are on a 72 hour timer (which can be found in their genetics section)
Eggs you find while exploring are likely to already be partially along the way to hatching (like, 23/72 or whatever), eggs you breed will always start at 0/72.

Every hour they'll add to the timer, and nurturing- any one person can nurture any given eggling/hatchling once per day- will add an hour for every five nurtures it receives.
(so if you have an eggling that's, say, 15/72 and then it gets twenty nurtures within the hour it'll be 19/72 and at the next hour rollover it'd be 20/72, when without the nurtures it'd be 16/72)

Once their timer reaches 72/72, the owner will get a popup when they next go to the pet's page that gives the options of "Help it hatch" (+20 HP bonus), "Let it hatch without help" (+1 to one of Str, Int, Dex, or Agi), and "Use philter" (with dropdown to select the one you want from the ones that you own)

Hatchlings get +1 to whatever their lowest stat is for every 5 nurtures.


You can also post links to them in the Region Chat (accessible from the third region and from Festival Zones) and General Chat (located in the bottom left, in the tinychat bar)

It definitely isn't super active, i've never seen active players break 100, but it's not terribly inactive either- at least not during this festival, we'll see afterwards. There currently seems to always be a decent number of people online.

What Festival? You can expect more people to appear when SpringFest starts in a week or two, and lots of eggs will get nurtured because of the Nurture Boards.
