"Yeah..." he sighed, smiling. "And we would actually be protected."

"We could also do a combat training thing. I know how to shoot a bow, and if I do say so myself, I'm really good with a katana and/or throwing knives." I say, wanting my people to be able to defend themselves.

"Where did you find a katana?" He joked, then shook his head. "I've been in a few fist fights before, I can teach that. And you said there was a tortoise hybrid that knows magic?"

"I got the katana from the turtle. His name is Jebediah, and he lives at the base of the mountain. We can visit him before going to the valley."

Lumera wanders the woods feeling bored.

Inferno smells the weird fox from earlier...her growls uncertain where she is

We walk in silence for a while, until I say,
"Where did you live before the forest?"

"It was another forest- more deer, wildcat, and wolf hybrids....," He paused, pondering whether or not to say more. "I miss it. All the time."

"Nice. Have you seen anyone from there since you moved?" I say, now curious.
