Writing Contest.

Fracture, Splinter, Shatter.
It all started with the End.
World War III had finally broken out. New technology was being invented at the speed of light, and after a week a giant city could be reduced to a pile of burning cinders. Finally, when there were no people left to kill, and the survivors banded together, they realized something needed to change. So the system in the world of Fractured appeared.
No one really knows how Glass came to be. The agreed upon theory was that since almost all other materials were gone, wasted at war, and the world was basically an unforgiving desert of ruins, the only thing left to use was Glass.
The making of Glass was perfected in order to resist the harsh world. This Glass is not fragile. It is strong, it is freedom.
Or so they say

Darkness
So powerfully hideous
Yet amazingly beautiful
It comforts
Sending warm feelings
Everywhere
Then a light appears
Making the darkness
Disappear

The light
So softly terrifying
And silently frightens
Chills running down spines
Fear building up in
Everyone
But the two mix
Light and Dark
Dark and Light

Eaquality
Neutrally grey colored
Both beautiful
and terrifying
It doesn't comfort
It doesn't scare
A chilling warmth
Strangely uneasy
Difference
Is good, always
