Due to school, responses will be sporadic until Spring!
Attention Heroes of Yonder!
King Eric has called for a contest to determine the greatest hero of the land. The winner will receive fame and glory. The boon is legendary! This will be the crowning event of the millennia! However, only five heroes will be allowed to compete. The tournament will begin on the spring equinox. Hurry to the castle for the chance of a lifetime!
You turn your horse away from the village gossip board. This is certainly an invitation to heroes signed with the royal seal itself. You are excited for the chance to compete. The contest is in approximately a month, and it will take a few weeks to get to the castle. Looks like you'd better get started!
This game will be set into three stages. Ten players will race to the castle. The first five to make it will compete in the tournament. The tournament winner will go on an urgent quest. Players that do not make it will be removed from the game.
Rules
1: Do not complain if you are removed. The process of elimination is part of the fun!
2: No god-modding or mary-sues.
3: Ping me and put my response up in bold on your post.
4: Do your best to use correct grammer and punctuation.
5: Try to give in-depth/interesting responses.
6: Be kind and polite. No cussing!
7: Have fun and follow the rules!

There will be Lone Wolf references. The battle system is based off of LW.
Heath Points = hp
Combat Skill = cs
Skill Points = sp
Skill Check = sc
Special Skill = ss
As you progress through the story you will come across skill checks. If you have enough points in a certain skill you will pass the skill check. Good strategy is important when choosing skills. It is better to choose a few high stat skills than several low stat ones. You will receive more skill points as you progress and occasionally unique skill points. Unique skill points can only be used on certain skills and you must use them immediately. Other skill points can be saved.
Some skills are useful for more than just passing skill checks.
-Healing restores 1 hp per sp per post.
-Strength & combat technique add 1 cs per sp during battle unless otherwise specified.
-Toughness & reflexes lower incoming damage by 1 per 2 sp.
Checkpoints: At major turns and such, there will be checkpoints. This is when I put all of a player's information into a post. If the player dies, he/she can return to that point and continue.
Fighting: Fighting focuses on two things; hp and cs. There are several things that affect cs, but when it comes down to it you simply subtract the enemy's cs from yours. The result is the combat ratio. (This can be a negative number) Using this chart and a ten sided dice determines the outcome of a round.

Character Sheet Name: Zuni Navajo (Beautiful bluebird)
Gender: Male
Description/Image:
(Fire Emblem - Gordin)
Personality: Quiet, stands for for people he trusts, kind hearted
Special Skill: Premonition
(Optional) Background: He was brought up by a tribe in the forest. (if allowed)
Likes: Berries, trees, nature, storms, heights
Dislikes: Most man-made things (like skyscrapers)
Other: Hmm can he be a good archer? Better than long-range combat than close?
I'm afraid I haven't heard of Lone Wolf. it isn't in the rules that we need to know it, though, so I presume I can join. The king says 5 people but there's 10 players. Now I'm hoping I make it to the castle.
Horse! We have a horse. Is this horse allowed?
Hopi (Guardian) - Stallion
Advantages: Swift, fast, agile
Disadvantages: Weak, can't attack things. Spooks at loud bangs (Is this allowed?)
Weapon of choice - Would the bow + arrows in the picture be allowed?
Skill Sheet

This is all good! Except for the inventory list says that you can choose an item of preference. That is not necessary although it may be helpful.
Lone Wolf is pretty much the original interactive choose your own adventure book. It's really fun! My dad played it when he was my age. These days there is a website (Aon) that has the books for free. There are also a few apps with some of the books.

oh! I must have skimmed over it. See it now. Erm. Would a quiver be fine so he can store arrows on his back? Bow, arrows and quiver set? Or if not a quiver, could it be a.. umm.. (when you cant think of something on the spot) medical kit maybe? Injured animal times always happen

I'll count the quiver as the weapon set. Yes you can have a medical kit.

Ooo! Ty. May I start?
He kicked Hopi on from the display board, outside the village. Pulling his stallion to a halt with one hand, he looked around for a lone tree which was easy to circle.
